Camera Obscura - Museum on the Prehistory of Film

In 1992, the world's biggest walk-in Camera Obscura was installed inside the dome of the old Broich watertower. On the other three levels of the tower, visitors find the "Prehistory of Film", exhibiting pieces of the collection "S" of collector KH.W. Steckelings. They are the historic heart of the exhibition which takes the visitor to a fascinating time travel through the world of visual sense, optical illusions and physical backgrounds of the moving picture.  

Opening hours: Wednesday to Sunday 10.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m. 

Open on easter monday, 1st May, ascension thursday, pentecost monday and corpus christi! 

Always closed during Christmas holidays in NorthRhine-Westphalia.

Admission for children up to six years is free!

3,50 EUR reduced only for Children aged 7 to 14 years. For pupils over 15 years and students please book "Discounted Ticket Camera Obscura".

Family-Tickets for 2 adults and 2 children can be booked under the headtitle "Family-Ticket Camera Obscura".
