This non-smoker's hotel in the quiet Munich part of town of Perlach offers a free sauna, free WIFI and a beer garden. The lodging disposes of a direct binding to the city centre. "On the evening of my arrival, I ate dinner at the hotel restaurant/bar. Firstly, the menu card was filthy. Secondly, there was very little choice on the menu. But my main complaint is that I chose Beef Goulash, which tasted ok, but four hours later I was violently ill from the food and was so ill that it took me the three days to recover. I feel that it must have been re-heated many times to cause this reaction."

"I really don’t understand how a 4* mercure brand hotel can have neither air conditioning, not even any proper ventilation system. This is a bad joke. They gave us some damaged fans and that was it, at 30 degrees the room was torture. Opening windows didn’t do much plus every 6:30 am there was very loud delivery downstairs, so forget about sleeping. On saturday evening the bar announced with pride that they have no wine. Breakfast is until 09:30, so at 9 you’re told you have 15 min and you better be fast (food is decent) as they’ll start taking your plate when you’re close to the deadline. Maybe you’ll hold on until 09:30 indeed if you’re German, as they get better treatment. It was also a briliant idea to build part of the breakfast area as a glass greenhouse in a building with no air conditioning, probably they save on keeping the food warm. I use Accor hotels around the globe for almost a decade, this place was just absurd."

"4 stars hotel priced 4 stars without AC in the middle of the summer is unacceptable! Moreover, it looked that there was no maintenance in the hotel: announcement about water quality problem more than 8 months old, bathroom doorknob to fall, no TV remote control (asked to be solved, nothing done). I wonder how 4 stars standards in accor hotels are ensured. It looks like a "I don't care attitude as long as there are customers to fool". Very disappointing!"

"We have booked early check-in for two rooms 3 months before the stay and got that re-confirmed a week before arrival. No rooms were available when we arrived and we couldn’t prepare for the busy day. Not to mention the lack of willingnes to support at the reception at the day of arrival. "I noticed that this hotel is behind the state of the art of other similar hotels from Accor group. I had numerous problems with my room access keys being demagnetised. That is 5 years ago I had any similar problems in other hotels. Also the elevator had a very strange behaviour - sometimes went up when I pushed down and the lamp indicating you choose to go to ground floor was broken."

"Half an hour wait to check in because there were only two staff on reception and one of them was occupied with phone calls - the hotel was fully booked! 20 minute wait to check out, too. The room is dark, MUCH too warm and if you open the window, noisy. No aircon, I simply couldn't stay there in the summer. Room and bathroom clearly haven't been updated for many years. Paying €300 a night for that room in that hotel is absolutely scandalous. If I'd had any choice in the matter at all I'd have checked out and stayed somewhere else. Munich having a Messe is no excuse for price gouging. I last stayed in this hotel ten years ago. The problems were the same then but I foolishly hoped that some of them might have been fixed. With the new Revo and Leonardo hotels just next door - both of which are FAR superior and generally cheaper - it's amazing that you've managed to stay in business. Never, ever again."

"Following message was sent to your hotel general email address: Dear Sirs, Good Day. Would like to share bad experience in your good hotel. Have discussed it with your colleague (Lady) at the reception on 2nd March/AM and we agreed that I will send you following message.  Brief explanation:  Please see my reservation and specific request for your reference in below message.  We arrived at your good hotel around 22:00 on 1st March and couldn't check in around one hour were waiting at the reception, your gentleman/colleague couldn't arrange our check in due to some circumstances, as we were explained there was some error in your system for our reservation or He mixed up our reservation with someone else.  After long time we received the key for our room around 23:00, however, when we opened the door there were inside people in the room. You can imagine our astonishment and disappointment,  we breached/violated human's/people's privacy at the night!!! As I know they also couldn't get check in long time and expressed their feelings at the reception next day. Afterwards we stayed to get another room again around one hour at the reception. Finally we were inside, room 608. However, there was not Internet in this room, you can check room 608 doesn't have Internet. Two times I went down to the reception and requested to check what is the wrong with WiFi, however, no reaction and finally he said if I need Internet for PC then I can seat in the hall with my PC, VIP Internet was not proposed as well. You can understand how important is Internet especially for business in this world, so, during the stay  in your hotel we didn't have Internet in the room at all, we were used hot spot from mobile telephone and spent extra money for it! Also, toilet was dirty when we arrived, this means that room was not ready for guests or quality of cleaning is poor.  Sorry, but I just expressed our feeling and disappointment! Never had such experience with so many negative points in one go. Also, as Gold Member we were not offered/given "Welcome Drinks", I intentionally requested/reminded that gold member is awarded for Welcome Drinks... after reminder received redbull! "First of all the room card broke almost every day, I needed to go down to the reception for repair it. Secondly, the room so sooooo cold when I had arrived, it took almost 1 day to get it warmer with a little room heater provided by the hotel. Also, another person entered into my room when I was sleeping, he said he received the wrong room number, the same as mine. I was very scared! He entered with his shopping done, it was very strange! I understood it was a new receptionist at the reception who provided him the same room card! And in the end, there were 2 days when I have not received toilet paper and hand soap for the bathroom! It was super annoying buying these "free" requirements. The maid cleaned the room and made the bad but she/he did not checked the bathroom!"

"I am a gold member with accor for years. I only eat a bowl of cereals at breakfast. The breakfast buffet was at 25 euros. I requested to make a proposal of something like 12 euros for a continental breakfast. I was treated with disdain, both at the buffer reception and afterwards at the reception. End result i had no breakfast, the hotel received no money, and will never go back to that hotel again. I realise it is Oktoberfest, but such attitude and approach is unacceptable from a serious chain of hotels."

"The staff was nice, but the experience was not what I expected. * My rate did not include breakfast, so I asked to add it when checking in and it was $25/day. This is very high for a breakfast ! I asked to remove it for the last day since I left at 6:30am and it was left on the invoice. * the fridge in the room did not work. "My room was supposed to be checked out at 12:00, and at around 9:30, there was a sudden strong knock on my room's door, and I was still sleeping at that time. Then the door of my room was opened! I think it was the cleaner, I stopped him and the guy backed out. I quickly got up and went to the reception to inform very seriously about what just happened and asked them to give me an outcome. Regrettably, the reception was very perfunctory and didn't even apologize, just flippantly said, THAT'S SUPPOSED NOT TO HAPPEN. I asked him to contact the manager and give me a feedback on how it was handled. It happened in the morning of September 7, I paid 161 euros for one night and I still have not received any feedback or apology."

"Stayed for 4 nights in a family room with my two small children. Since they play on the floor noticed clouds of dust under the beds, the kind of dust that accumulates in weeks maybe months. Since it was late in the night I hoped with will get cleaned the next day. The next day I left the room before 12 and put on the sign to get the room cleaned. Came back in the evening and the room was not cleaned. Went to the Reception to ask for towels and toilet paper also presenting a picture with the dust that was under one of the beds and that answer that I got was that it is unacceptable and to come in the morning to talk with the head of cleaning to make a complain. The next day I went to make a complain. Din't talk to the head of cleaning but talked again with the reception people and they told me to send an email with the picture because it was unacceptable. Sent an email with 2 pictures at h0… Left the room at 11 AM came back in evening. The room was made up (sheets, towels) but the cleaning was superficial in the room and no vacuum was used unde the beds. The cloud of dusts were still there. Went to the reception and asked again for toilet paper because it was not replaced and made another verbal complain. The next day I gave up and put on the sign with do not disturb because I didn't had the time and nerves to deal with this hotel again. Bonus points, the shower gel in the shower ended in the seconds day and never got replaced. Worst experience that I had in a very long time. The only good thing was the distance to UBahn"

"First of all, the key issuance system was not working. So every time, one of the staff had to accompany all the guests including me to the rooms and open it with his master key. Even when system was restored, no key was provided as promised. To my utmost shock while getting into the room that Room / Hotel has no Airconditioner. The temperature was 38 degree outside and room temperature must be above 40 degree at the time. How can someone stay in the room with such temperature. "When I booked the room over your hotline, I spoke to two ladies that each separately confirmed that I could book the room via "Kostenübernahme" which means that the hotel will send an invoice directly to our firm address and we will pay after the invoice arrives. They said I would have to give a credit card but it would only be needed for security reasons. When my colleague and me arrived at the Hotel on Monday the 26th of June, your receptionist Mr Spyros Desyllas, was there to check us in but did this in the most unfriendly way possible. He said that the way of payment that was assured us would definitely not be possible and was outraged that I could assume something like that. He also wanted the names of the two ladies I had spoken to but I did not have the names at hand. I remained friendly even though he was very impolite and made a big scene of it. Tutting and rolling his eyes at me. He did not seek a resolution of the problem and was only ready to give us a room after I assured him that I do not have any possibility other than to send the information he wanted (i.e. my private credit card details) via mail on the next day. Because The card is my husbands and he would not accept any confirmation through me but needed a signed document of my husband. He continued to be unfriendly and after a few minutes just ignored me and spoke Greek to my colleague although he was perfectly capable of speaking very good German. After this he stated that I would have to send the information before midday of the next day otherwise he would check me out and we would not have rooms there anymore. When I arrived in my room the temperature there was around about 30 Celsius, opening the window did not help because the air did not move. I was able to borrow a fan from the reception. With that it was just about possible to sleep there but it was still very warm. When I was back at work in the next morning I sent the signed "Kostenübernahme" via mail to the hotel and even called to make sure it arrived and there were no problems. The colleague at the phone found the mail and assured me that everything was fine with it. When I then arrived at the Hotel in the evening Mr Desyllas was at the reception again. He said that no E-Mail had arrived and was again very unfriendly. He looked for the Mail for 10 mins and could not find it. He repeatedly asked me if I could not send it again now but I do not have any access to my work emails as I had told him before. After 10 mins of looking for the email and being unfriendly to me, treating me as if I were doing him injustice, he found the email and gave me a new card so that I could get into my room. I have never experienced such an unfriendly person and still can not understand how he can work in customer services. I for my part will not stay in another Mercure Hotel and have also spoken do my colleagues who will also avoid booking rooms there for work purposes. Regards Marlies S."

"Great stay, very good breakfasts, the only thing which was not working, was Wi-Fi. I think the wireless coverage should be checked, because it seemed, like our room wasn't very close to the Access Point. Although I did receive the voucher for the faster Wi-Fi option, the result was still the same - almost no Internet. This should be fixed immediately, as it's a business hotel, where a lot of stays are for the Siemens campus across the street."

"The hotel is very well located, has a good breakfast selction, rooms are quiet but not air conditioned. "I overall enjoyed the stay in this Mercure hotel, however the room was very hot with high humidity. There is no air conditioning available, which made is complicated to get a good sleep. The door handling at 419 wasn't working as expected and needed several tries to get in."

"The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were modern and well furnished, the bar was nice but it was annoying you couldnt charge to the room. The wifi in the rooms was very hit and miss, and it was so hot in this hotel. I understood no aircon, but the temperature in the hotel was significantly hotter than outside, almost like the heating was jammed on. This made the stay extremely uncomfortable. The window does fully open, but the rooms just never cooled down. it was no more than 18C outside. I would love to stay here again, but this temperature would make me consider not."

"The initial room assigned to me was located 3 meters in front of the lifts... I requested another location and the personel was kind to propose me an upgrade (that I did not get, btw! but the new standard room that I've been given was OK). Look & feel, decoration of the room is great! I USB plugs are very convenient. BRONX-branded armchair is great choice!"
