It is situated at an altitude of 2,000 metres with magnificent panoramic views of the Valais Alps, right in the heart of the Lauchernalp skiing and hiking paradise. In winter, it offers guaranteed snow for skiing at all levels of difficulty up to 3,111 metres, as well as ski touring, cross-country skiing and tobogganing right on your doorstep. In summer and autumn, the Lötschental is a hiking and mountain biking paradise for young and old alike. ​​The Lötschental is part of the Jungfrau–Aletsch–Bietschhorn UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site and is characterised not only by its spectacular mountains and glaciers but also by the unspoilt diversity of its alpine flora and fauna.
