Chasa Im Obersteg is set across three floors, combining the distinctive charm of a historic Val Müstair house with modern comforts and thoughtfully selected furnishings.
Bedrooms
The house features four comfortable bedrooms, each furnished with a double bed and its own wardrobe. Tasteful interiors and a peaceful atmosphere provide the perfect setting for a restful night's sleep.
Living Room and Library
The spacious living room is an inviting place to spend time together and enjoy relaxed evenings. A separate, light filled library with its own balcony provides a wonderful retreat for reading, working or simply unwinding.
Dining Room and Breakfast Room
The historic dining room is one of the house's most special features. Original frescoes, an impressive vaulted ceiling and a fireplace create a unique atmosphere for long, convivial dinners.
The separate breakfast room, with its traditional tiled stove, offers a cosy setting in which to start the day. The table is also ideal for a friendly game of Jass, the traditional Swiss card game, or other board games.
Kitchen
The generously equipped kitchen has everything needed to prepare anything from simple meals to elaborate dinners. Alongside a comprehensive selection of cooking utensils, crockery and tableware, guests will find a kettle, coffee machine and traditional fondue pots for cosy evenings at home.
Bathrooms and Sauna
The house has two spacious, modern bathrooms. One features a bathtub and separate shower, while the other has a generous walk in shower. There is also a separate guest WC with a washbasin on the first floor.
A particular highlight is the private sauna on the top floor, offering beautiful views of the Alps. It is the perfect place to relax after a hike, a mountain bike ride or a day spent exploring the surrounding nature.
Entrance Hall and Practical Amenities
The spacious entrance hall offers plenty of storage for coats, walking boots and rucksacks. A separate laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer provides additional convenience, particularly for longer stays.
The generous cellar offers ample space for the secure storage of bicycles and mountain bikes.
With its thoughtfully designed layout, spacious communal areas and inviting private retreats, Chasa Im Obersteg provides the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday with family or friends.
Good to Know
As a historic house dating back to the 16th century, Chasa Im Obersteg has certain architectural features that contribute to its unique character. The floors are uneven in places, and the historic staircases can be rather steep and may take some getting used to. Modern handrails have been installed to provide additional support.
Due to these architectural characteristics, the house may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
For safety reasons, the house is also not suitable for toddlers and young children from the stage at which they begin walking up to the age of six. Babies who are not yet mobile are, of course, very welcome.
