The unique landscape of the National Park region is circumnavigated in several stages - and without luggage.

The challenging one: The alternative to our Nationalpark Bike-Tour is called Uina Bernina Bike-Tour. Following an impressive start through the rocky gorge Val d’Uina and you will be passing the high mountain valley Val Mora with its distinctive rock formation. Finally, the 1200 m altitude single trail adventure "Bernina Express Single Trail" follows. At the end, you are welcomed by the Italian flair of the town of Poschiavo. The Rhaetian Railway takes you comfortably back to the Bernina Pass and, depending on your preference, you can travel by train or bike to the stage destination in the Upper Engadine.

Stage description:
Scuol - Val Müstair, 48 km and 1800 m altitude difference:
The tour starts on an impressive smuggler path, which is fitted directly into the rocks in Val d’Uina. A 100 m above the canyon, each step counts and head for heights helps, although you are secured by chains and handrails. The following single trail is leading to the feasted Sesvenna hut. The route, on gravel roads and just shortly on the main road, is leading to South Tirol and the village of Latsch. Alongside the river Rom you’ll reach today’s destination Val Müstair.

Val Müstair - Livigno, 51 km and 1800 m altitude difference: Starting at the stage Val Müstair the day trip starts off with diligent work up Valchava, in opposite direction of route 444 (Nationalpark Bike-Marathon), on a gravel road through the forest till Tschierv. Starting the ascent to Ofenpass (mountain pass road around 5 km). On the summit you’ll take the left-sided flow trail down to Alp Buffalora. The ascent to Furocla del Gallo is steep and ends in a fantastic trail till the summit. A single trail to Lago di Livigno is following. The next path sequence till Passo di Fraéle is nearly levelled. The route leads to Casine di Trela, on a flow trail above the Passi di Val Trela to Ponte delle Capre, on a hard gravel trail to Livigno, your final destination.

Livigno - Poschiavo, 36 km and 1000 m altitude difference: The route Livigno in direction Forcola di Livigno with a renewed bike trail and the mountain pass road is perfect to start the day. At “Baitel del Gras degli Agnelli” the trail takes a right turn, is getting steep and finished in a passage, in which you’ll have to carry your bike, leading to the lookout “La Stretta”. A single trail leads to Alp la Stretta. The mountain pass road is further leading to the parking area of Diavolezza track. After that, the route is going along the Bernina route, passing the Lago Bianco to Berninapass. It's the starting point of the 1200 m high single trail adventure “Bernina-Express” to Poschiavo. The partly difficult trail is passing the train station Alp Grüm, Cavaglia and Cadera, while crossing the Bernina track every once in a while. In Poschiavo we’ll recommend stopping for a coffee on the piazza and enjoying the Italian flair of the place.

Poschiavo-Zuoz/S-chanf/Cinuos-chel, 40 km and 613 m altitude difference: Starting in Poschiavo you’ll take the Bernina train up to the train station Bernina Suot to Pontresina. In order to reach today’s destination, you’ll need to switch trains in Pontresina and take a train in direction Scuol-Tarasp. Alternatively, you can go by bike: From Bernina Suot, along the Morteratsch glacier to Pontresina and then, following a gravel trail to Punt Muragl, along the Engadin airport towards your destination.

Zuoz/S-chanf/Cinuos-chel - Scuol, 47 km and 700 m altitude difference. From S-chanf the route is tracing the Nationalpark Bike-Marathon route 444, along the route of the Rhätische Bahn to Zernez and further along the Inn to Susch. Starting here, you’ll take a gravel road to Lavin. At the high wooden bridge the route 444 is left and the trail is guiding down till the Inn clough at Giarsun and up again to Sur En d’Ardez, followed by a short way on the street to Ardez. The route is taking a short but steep ascent back on the route 444 to Ftan. Starting in Ftan Pitschen, a demanding single trail is leading to Scuol, crossing the main road twice. After around 1.3 km the route is leading along the main street, before a junction is leading right at Putschigls. The single trail is leading to the train station Scuol-Tarasp, crossing Nairs.
