Baden’s Industrial History
Description
Thanks to visionary individuals, Baden has transformed from an industrial hub into an internationally recognized center for services and employment. This tour shows how the former BBC industrial area recently became a modern, vibrant city district. At the heart of the story are two Baden pioneers who conquered the world with steam and gas turbine innovations, turning Baden into the «electric city».
The 1990s also brought significant changes, especially with the redevelopment of Baden North. Anecdotes about a crane operator, the bike parking area, loft apartments, and the «potato bunker» bring the city’s evolution to life. A story rich in inventiveness and forward-looking ideas.
