Fortifications in Canton Zug
Description
On this pre-alpine terrain foreign armies and armed forces were once prevented from advancing - for example in 1315 at Morgarten. Today you will find here tank traps and artillery bunkers from World War II.
Explore the various Zug fortifications; find out where they are and why they are on that particular spot. See what they look like, learn how they were built, how they were equipped and how they functioned. We invite you to come by train, by bus or on foot - with family, friends, school chums or work mates – to hear some thrilling stories and learn some fascinating history.
