The Kaminstube is located on the ground floor and, with 80 square meters of space, offers everything families need for a relaxing vacation. It features two bedrooms, each with a double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and family-friendly amenities such as a high chair, safety gates, a changing table, and a rollaway bed upon request. A bathtub and walk-in shower are, of course, included. The highlight: the private fireplace. Here you can sit together comfortably, reflect on the day at the farm, and watch the children play. The private terrace on the west side is perfect for breakfast outdoors or simply relaxing. In the morning, you can feed the animals with the children, spend time in the guest garden, or explore nature right outside the door. We also have wonderful places to visit nearby, such as the Oberreith Wildlife Park, the historic town of Wasserburg, and many beautiful lakes... Starting in the summer of 2026, four high-quality, and lovingly furnished vacation apartments await you—perfect for families seeking peace, nature, and a genuine farm experience. Here, you can feed the animals, pet the ponies, collect eggs, or simply play outside and enjoy nature. This is where we live—in beautiful Chiemgau, in the Rosenheim district, right between Munich and Salzburg, in the idyllic town of Amerang. Our little hamlet is called Surau, and here you can enjoy complete peace and seclusion. No fences, no through traffic, just meadows, fields, and forests—we live here with respect for nature and our animals, and we run our farm with a lot of heart. Stressed out by everyday life? Not enough time or space to breathe? Then it’s time for a little break! Here, you can play, run, and climb together as a family, get to know the animals, and discover what goes on around the farm. Just enjoy spending time together. A large fleet of go-karts, pedal tractors, and Bobby Cars is just waiting for you to try them out. Right from the farm, you can go for wonderful bike rides, take walks, or enjoy nature. The Suranger Inn is just 3 km away, Amerang is about 6 km away, and the beautiful old town of Wasserburg am Inn is only 13 km away—perfect for a family outing. While you’ll need a car, you’ll get to experience our peaceful, undisturbed country life—surrounded by nature, with plenty of space for the kids

About the host

We’re so glad you’re here! We’re Kathi and Mane. We live here with our three children and my parents, and we run our farm with a lot of heart and passion. Three generations bring our farm to life, making it a cozy place where children can play to their hearts’ content, discover nature, and simply be kids.

Family Inclusions (Included in the rental price): Fresh Purified Water & SodaStream: Sustainable and convenient! Each of our holiday apartments is equipped with a modern water purification system (filtered drinking water) and its own SodaStream. Fresh sparkling and still drinking water is available to you free of charge directly in your apartment at any time – completely eliminating the need to haul heavy crates of bottles. Toddler Equipment: Upon request, we are happy to provide a complimentary basic set of toddler equipment for the duration of your stay (baby cot, high chair, bed guard). Please just let us know when making your booking. Utilities & Amenities: Electricity, heating, water, and parking spaces directly at the farm are included in the final price. Entertainment: Each apartment features a modern TV with HD channels for your free use. Optional Extras & Services (Subject to a fee / Settled on-site): On-Site Farm Shop: In our small farm shop, you can stock up on fresh, home-grown produce and regional delicacies for your daily needs around the clock (payment is made in cash or via an honor-system cash box on-site). Laundry Service: You are welcome to bring your own bed linen and towels, or you can conveniently book them as a cost-effective laundry package (please refer to the pricing information of the respective apartment for details and rates). Terms Regarding Equipment & Outdoor Area: Dry Storage Facilities: Free, lockable, and dry storage space is available for your bicycles, e-bikes, prams, or sports equipment. Play at Your Own Risk: Our farm is situated in a beautiful, secluded, and traffic-calmed location, offering limitless freedom to run around and play. Parents are responsible for their children and must supervise them.

Arrival Description

The Surauer Hof (Surau 1, 83123 Amerang) is located in the idyllic Chiemgau region, right on the road between Amerang and Kirchensur. GPS tip: Please use the coordinates 48.029834, 12.330907, as some systems may display the house number inaccurately in rural areas. From the north / Wasserburg am Inn (B304): Exit the B304 federal highway at the Kirchensur / Amerang exit. Follow State Road 2359 south through the town of Kirchensur toward Amerang. Just under 1 km after leaving Kirchensur, you will reach the hamlet of Surau. Our farm is clearly visible on the right-hand side. From the south / A8 highway (Munich–Salzburg): Take the Frasdorf or Prien am Chiemsee exit and drive toward Bad Endorf / Höslwang / Amerang. Drive all the way through the town of Amerang heading north (signs for Wasserburg / Kirchensur / B304). About 3 km past Amerang, you will reach the hamlet of Surau. Our farm is located on the left-hand side (just before Kirchensur). From Rosenheim / Simssee: Drive through Vogtareuth and Schonstett to Evenhausen. Continue on to Stephanskirchen, and from there, turn onto the B304 highway toward Traunstein. Exit the B304 highway at the Kirchensur / Amerang exit. Follow State Road 2359 south through the town of Kirchensur toward Amerang. Just under 1 km after leaving Kirchensur, you will reach the hamlet of Surau. Our farm is clearly visible on the right-hand side. Tip for train travelers: The nearest train stations with regular service are Bad Endorf (approx. 14 km, Munich–Salzburg line) or Wasserburg am Inn / Reitmehring (approx. 15 km). From there, we recommend continuing your journey by taxi, or we would be happy to pick you up by arrangement.
