Wappman Gut 1602 – A Holiday in a Listed Monument

Wappman Gut 1602 is a lovingly renovated, listed farmhouse that harmoniously combines history and modernity. It is set in the picturesque landscape of the Rupertiwinkel, in the immediate vicinity of Lake Waging and Lake Tachinger – the ideal place for those seeking relaxation and for nature lovers.

A Piece of History

Around 1602, after his marriage to Elisabeth Rädlmacher, Christian Wappmann built the combined farmhouse and stable as a log construction – hence the name "Wappman-Gut". Dendrochronological analyses confirm that the timber was already felled from the winter of 1594/95, about ten years before construction began.

With great dedication and attention to detail, the house has been restored and its original charm preserved. Restored down to the smallest detail by local craftsmen using traditional handwork and regional, sustainable materials, it has been completed with modern amenities to create a cosy, comfortable home. Rustic wooden beams and snug living spaces combine the character of the old with the comfort of today.

The House

The entire house (ground floor and upper floor, 2 balconies) accommodates up to 9 guests and comprises the two holiday apartments Block and Blick.
