This year's Christmas Garden will be more magical than ever with sparkling new light installations and beloved favorites!

Experience a newly illuminated circular route from mid-November and spend magical hours in the Christmas-decorated Pillnitz Palace & Park.

The dreamlike park of the famous Pillnitz Palace will also be transformed in 2023 in the Christmas Garden Dresden and receive a new, magnificent, Christmas garb, when the imaginatively staged circuit shines for the fourth time. Unique light designs will also continue to surprise our guests from previous years. Discover with your loved ones a world in a magical mood, accompanied by festive classics. Let yourself be carried away by many glittering illuminations into a unique, magically glowing Christmas world.

Since its opening in 2018, Christmas Garden Dresden has become one of the most popular destinations during the Christmas season. This year, Pillnitz Palace & Park will once again be transformed into a magical winter wonderland along a circular path approximately two kilometers long. The unmistakable architecture and the extensive park landscape of Pillnitz Palace & Park provide the most beautiful backdrop.

ticket informations:

Children from 0 till 14 years. Admission only in the company of an adult.
Children (under the age of 6) have free access to the Christmas Garden. The children receive, however, a free-of-charge ticket so that the precise number of visitors can be checked. Free tickets can be added to the shopping cart during the ordering process. 

Discounts only for pupils, students, senior citizens from 65 years. Discount will be granted upon presentation of an ID. 

families up to 5 persons:
a) 2 adults and up to 3 children aged 6 till 14 years
b) 1 adult and up to 4 children aged 6 till 14 years 

We kindly ask for your understanding that dogs (including on a leash) and other animals are not admitted to the Christmas Garden. 

personal admission time

In order to give you the most atmospheric experience possible, admission is limited to visitors per 30 minutes . There will be an admission time on your ticket. Please pass through the entrance during the half hour indicated.

Example: If you purchased a ticket for 5:30pm, then you can arrive for admission between 5:30pm and 6:00pm. Of course you can stay longer than 30 minutes in the Christmas Garden.

opening hours

The Christmas Garden Dresden will be open from November 16, 2023 to January 14, 2024 starting at 4:30pm.

• Monday through Thursday, Sunday: last admission at 7:30 p.m., closing at 9:00 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday and 21 December to 02 January: last admission at 20:30, closing at 22:00.

The Christmas Garden will be closed on the following days: November 20/27/28 and December 24 and 31.
