Description

The Thielen vacation rental, named "Watzmannblick," is located on the ground floor of the house and has its own private entrance. The entire apartment is tiled and heated by underfloor heating. It features 1 living room with a dining area and a kitchenette, 1 bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower. The kitchen offers ample counter space, a ceramic cooktop/stove with microwave function, an exhaust hood, a sink, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a toaster, and plenty of cookware and tableware. The living room and bedroom provide direct access to the apartment's terrace. The terrace offers all the amenities, such as a seating set (bench, table, and 2 chairs) with cushions, a parasol, lounge chairs with cushions, and of course a charcoal grill. Since the apartment is currently being renovated and refurnished, it will not be available for booking until May 15, 2026.

Environment description

Since the vacation rental is located near the center, all amenities are within easy walking distance. In the village of Unterstein, you'll find the town hall with a tourist information office, banks, a bakery, a butcher shop, a grocery store, a pharmacy, an outdoor swimming pool (Schornbad) with a beach volleyball court, and a kiosk/restaurant. From the accommodation, you can go on many hikes and mountain tours without having to use any form of transportation. Not far away is the Jennerbahn, which is easily accessible on foot; there is a bike rental service there. We are happy to provide you with great hiking and excursion tips.

We can provide great tips on local restaurants, recommendations for tours in the immediate and wider area, and more.

A final cleaning fee of EUR50.00 is added to the nightly rate for the vacation rental. The prices quoted do not include the visitor's tax of EUR3.10 for adults, EUR1.55 for children/young people aged 7 to 16 and EUR0.00 for children aged 0 to 6 per person per day of stay (subject to change).

Arrival Description

By train: Berchtesgaden Central Station, then continue by bus or taxi. By car: A8 highway - if you don't have a vignette, take the Piding exit, then drive through Bad Reichenhall to Berchtesgaden until you reach the roundabout at the train station; turn toward Königssee, and after the 3rd traffic light (approx. 2.0 km), turn right onto Graf-Arco-Str., then take the 1st right. Destination: Am Tradenlehen, house no. 24. Or: With a vignette, take the Anif exit, then drive via Marktschellenberg to the Berchtesgaden train station/roundabout and continue as described above.
