Description

Our guesthouse is located just around 100 metres from the Jennerbahn cable car and approximately 300 metres from the picturesque Königssee, with all its hiking trails in the Alpine National Park. We have 18 double rooms, 2 single rooms and 4 shared rooms. From our terrace, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the mountains around Schönau am Königssee. Thanks to the excellent public transport links, day trips, such as to the Kehlsteinhaus or the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine, can be undertaken even without a car. The owner is renowned for his excellent cuisine and will be delighted to treat you to a meal in our restaurant in the evening (bookings are recommended). Our guesthouse also offers ideal conditions for a winter holiday. Numerous cleared winter walking trails and well-maintained cross-country ski trails start mostly right outside the hotel. The toboggan run at the Jenner midway station, freeriding, snow or ski tours, curling rinks, horse-drawn carriage rides, etc. ensure there's never a dull moment, even in the cold season. The internationally renowned bobsleigh and toboggan run invites you to enjoy bobsleigh rides or the popular 'spa guest tobogganing'.

Arrival Description

You drive from the A8 Munich direction Salzburg. Take the exit Bad Reichenhall. This is the last exit before the Austrian border. (VIGNETTENPFLICHT!) From Bad Reichenhall on the B20 follow the signs to Berchtesgaden.you drive through the villages of Bad Reichenhall, Bayerisch Gmain, Hallthurm and Bischofswiesen and finally come to the big traffic circle at the train station Berchtesgaden.at the traffic circle at the train station Berchtesgaden take the B 20 direction Königssee. Follow this road straight ahead (approx. 4 km) until you reach the turn-off "Dorf Königssee". Turn left here and after 200 m turn right over a small bridge. Turn left again at the next street and you are at our house.
