Environment description

Saaldorf-Surheim lies in the centre of the idyllic pre-alpine Rupertiwinkel region in the north of the Berchtesgadener Land. Our region is characterised by gently rolling hills and lakes, by the mature village centres and the harmonious overall picture of a natural landscape. Excursionists and hikers will find a wide selection of tours. From a moss hike to a panoramic circular trail with refreshments or a refreshing dip in Lake Abtsdorf, Saaldorf-Surheim has so much to offer. And always with the magnificent backdrop of the Berchtesgaden Alps in front of you, which can be reached in no time at all by demanding mountaineers. The extensive municipal area with its many long, well-maintained cycle paths is ideal for cycling tours and inline skating. The signposted cycle paths, in combination with the entire range of cycle paths in the district, are excellent starting points for longer supra-regional tours. Due to the low gradients, the cycle tours are particularly suitable for families with children. The cultural metropolis of Salzburg is in the immediate neighbourhood. But also the Königssee or the Chiemsee.

Arrival Description

A8 Munich Salzburg, exit Piding/Bad Reichenhall, 2nd exit at the roundabout towards Freilassing on the B20. Approx. 15 minutes, exit Surheim, between Laufen and Freilassing, turn left, exit Gausburg, after approx. 150 metres turn right, fourth house on the right, house number 12, you have reached your destination.
