Guided Steel Mill Tour

The guided tour is set between in the area of tension between the metallurgical history, the blast furnace technology and a bustling cultural site. Follow the path of iron through the blast furnace from the gout to the torpedo ladle car. If the weather is fine, you can experience a fantastic view of the Ruhr district from blast furnace 5, about 70 metres above the ground.

Dates: Sa and Su, 12.00 and 2pm

Meeting point: 10 minutes before the start of the guided tour at the Visitor Centre in the main switch house (Hauptschalthaus)

Duration: 1.75 hours

Note: Please wear comfortable and weatherproof shoes/clothes.
