About the host

And this is us... Team Wanderlust... your hosts... "Howdy" from Montana!My name is Kari Swenson and I was born and raised in Montana. I am a small animal veterinarian in the town of Bozeman near Yellowstone National Park. I grew up in the outdoors and still enjoy exploring the world and visiting friends near and far. My horses, dogs and Walter keep me busy 24 hours a day.Gruess Gott and Wilkommen!My name is Walter Pichler and I am a native of Ruhpolding. The house of Ferienwohnung Wanderlust was my parents house, which we have recently converted into a vacation home.The biathlon sport has shaped both our lives and brought us together. We met in 1984 in Olso, Norway, at a biathlon World Cup. Kari was competing for the USA and I was competing for Germany. I won a bronze medal with the biathlon relay team at the Sarajevo Olympics, and Kari won a bronze medal that same winter with the biathlon relay

The prices quoted do not include the tourist tax applicable during your stay. This is 2.90 Euro per adult (aged 16 and over) per night and 1.70 Euro per child aged 6-15 per night. No tourist tax is charged for children aged 0 - 5 years.


Arrival Description

By car you leave the freeway A8 at the exit Traunstein/Siegsdorf and drive approx. 9 km in the direction of Ruhpolding. At the entrance of the village you drive through our "tunnel" and come out at the traffic circle. Here you turn into the 2nd exit, over the traffic light in the direction of Reit im Winkl. After 2.5 km you reach the district Fuchsau, here you turn left and immediately right again. In the second house on the left side you will find the vacation apartment "Wanderlust". GOOD DRIVE!
