Description

Once an old moated castle and first mentioned in a document as early as 1311, this typical Westphalian moated castle is located just a few kilometers from the gates of the historic city of Münster, particularly quiet and idyllic.

In the 16th century, the castle underwent a transformation in the late Renaissance style, which was supplemented by baroque elements in the 18th century. The history of the house is still reflected today in the precious stucco ceilings, copperplate engravings, paintings and antiques. The rooms have been restored with great attention to detail, allowing elegance and modernity to be experienced as tradition from a single source.

Since 1958 the castle has been run as a restaurant and hotel. Family atmosphere, combined with lively hospitality, promise a special stay.

The rooms and suites are individually furnished and are located in the castle and in the annex. The outer castle and the main castle lie within the moats. The rooms are equipped with a minibar, television and direct dial telephone. An extensive breakfast buffet guarantees a good start to the day.

This hotel is a partner of Climate City Münster and has committed itself in the Climate City Agreement to make concrete contributions to climate protection and climate adaptation. Münster is part of the EU mission “100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030” and has been recognized by the EU Commission for the Climate City Agreement.
