You can reach the centre of Reit im Winkl in a few minutes by car or bike. The Winklblick holiday flat is located in the Lohrey house in Blindau. The house is quietly located in a 30 zone and offers a wonderful view of the Upper Bavarian mountains. Hiking and cycling trails start at the front door, a large children's playground and a riding school are only a few steps away. The bus stop with connection to the Winklmoosalm hiking area is also within walking distance. In the immediate vicinity you will find a tennis court, a bicycle rental (including mountain bikes, e-bikes) and a golf course (all for a fee). The winter hiking trails as well as cross-country skiing trails start at the front door, also the bus stop with connection to the skiing and hiking area Winklmoosalm is within walking distance. The Benzeck ski lifts are only 700 m away on foot, an ideal ski slope for children and beginners! You can reach the beautiful Chiemsee in just 30 minutes by car. In the morning we recommend the bread roll service or visit the "Semmelhäusl", which offers fresh bread rolls/semmels in the high season only a few metres away from the house. Reit im Winkl climatic health resort According to Wikipedia, the title "climatic health resort" is awarded to "places whose air and climate, according to an expert opinion, have properties that are conducive to recreation and health. Reit im Winkl was designated a climatic health resort in 1956 and since then has repeatedly met the requirements for the certificate by making efforts. For one thing, the altitude ensures that the summer heat remains moderate and the nights pleasantly cool. The village is surrounded by extensive mountain forests of the Chiemgau Alps and belongs to the "Bavarian Alps" climate district. The weather character is decisively determined by the conditions, i.e. by the influence of the mountain ranges and the valley incisions on the weather pattern. In addition to the natural conditions for good air, we actively take care with the natural warmth or ample bus offers that the good mountain air is preserved for us.

Arrival Description

Leave the motorway A8 Munich-Salzburg at the exit Bernau and turn left in the direction of Grassau - Marquartstein and from there in the direction of Reit im Winkl. From Reit im Winkl to the district Blindau, follow the main road uphill and when you reach the 30 km zone you will see House Lohrey on the right hand side.
