Details

You enter the Dorfchalet Cortina through the central entrance area with a Bavarian star door made of old wood. An internal door behind it provides access to the cloakroom area. Via a natural stone staircase you ascend to the romantic chalet with its old wood gable. This historic roof truss was first built for a farm in Upper Bavaria in 1876. It has now sheltered the Refugio in Reit im Winkl since 2011. The romantic bedroom with its old lock door made of cassette-cut glass, adjoins the main room of the chalet. The bedroom is equipped with box-spring beds and an original farm cupboard from South Tyrol for your wardrobe. Storage space for suitcases can be found in built-in cupboards. A 7-metre balcony with a view of the village, the mountains and the adjacent stream round off the chalet and invite you to linger in the fresh mountain air. The total area of the Dorfchalet Cortina is 61 sqm. Our valued guests have free entry to the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. WLAN is of course at your disposal.

On a sunny late afternoon in 2007, with a view of the wonderful alpenglow on the Kreuzkofel in South Tyrol, the idea was born to build an Alpine Bergehaus for friends, connoisseurs and lovers of the mountains of this world. The Alpine Bergehaus is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the German mountain landscape, in the Chiemgau, on the edge of the mountain village and climatic health resort of Reit im Winkl. Somewhat exposed on a hill in the adjacent forest, it can be reached via a stream with an unobstructed view of the Wilder Kaiser. Like the mountain huts - ital. Rifugio- are built on the high plateaus of the Dolomites, mostly from the sun-burnt wood and stones of the mountains, this is also how the Bergehaus in Chiemgau was designed.

Luftkurort Reit im Winkl Laut Wikipedia wird das Prädikat Luftkurort an "Ortschaften vergeben, deren Luft und Klima laut einem Gutachten Eigenschaften aufweisen, die für Erholung und Gesundheit förderlich sind. Reit im Winkl wurde 1956 zum Luftkurort ernannt und hat seitdem die Voraussetzungen für das Gutachten durch bemühen immer wieder erfüllt. Zum einen die Höhenlage, die dafür sorgt, dass die Sommerhitze gemäßigt und die Nächte angenehm kühl bleiben. Der Ort ist umgeben von ausgedehnten Bergwäldern der Chiemgauer Alpen und ist zum Großklima dem Klimabezirk „Bayerische Alpen“ zuzurechnen. Der Witterungscharakter wird entscheidend durch die Gegebenheiten, das heißt durch den Einfluss der Gebirgszüge und der Taleinschnitte auf das Wettergeschehen, bestimmt.Neben den natürlichen Voraussetzungen für gute Luft kümmern wir uns aktiv mit der Naturwärme oder reichlich Bus-Angeboten darum, dass uns die gute Bergluft erhalten bleibt.

Arrival Description

By car to Reit im Winkl: Coming from Munich on the A 8 motorway, take the Grabenstätt exit. From there take the Bundesstraße 305 (German Alpine Road) to Reit im Winkl (27km). The Inntal motorway offers an alternative. Turn off shortly before Rosenheim at the "Inntaldreieck" and drive to the Oberaudorf exit. From there, take the Austrian federal road 172 to Reit im Winkl. Coming from Salzburg, take the motorway (A 8) to the Inzell-Ruhpolding exit and continue via Ruhpolding to Reit im Winkl. By train to Reit im Winkl: The nearest train station is in Prien am Chiemsee. From here you have the best bus connections (RVO bus line 9505) to Reit im Winkl. By plane: Munich Airport is approx. 140 km and Salzburg Airport approx. 70 km from Reit im Winkl.
