The Breitenlohner guesthouse is located in a central, yet quiet location in the heart of the climatic health resort Reit im Winkl in Chiemgau. We offer you cosy one- and two-room flats in our house. The flats are equipped with all amenities such as shower, WC, kitchen, cable TV and balcony. So that you don't have to leave the house early in the morning, we have set up a bread roll service. In summer you will find rest and relaxation on our sunbathing lawn. Ideal for guests who like to leave their car at home, there are hiking trails, cross-country skiing tracks, ski school, children's playground and the outdoor swimming pool in the immediate vicinity. Your advantage as our guest: We are partner landlords/operators of the Reit im Winkl swimming card. This gives you the opportunity to receive further free services in addition to our own, such as free admission to the Reit im Winkl open-air swimming pool, the Kössen forest swimming pool and the lido pools at Walchsee. Reit im Winkl climatic health resort According to Wikipedia, the title "climatic health resort" is awarded to "places whose air and climate, according to an expert opinion, have properties that are conducive to recreation and health. Reit im Winkl was designated a climatic health resort in 1956 and since then has repeatedly met the requirements for the certificate by making efforts. For one thing, the altitude ensures that the summer heat remains moderate and the nights pleasantly cool. The village is surrounded by extensive mountain forests of the Chiemgau Alps and belongs to the "Bavarian Alps" climate district. The weather character is decisively determined by the conditions, i.e. by the influence of the mountain ranges and the valley incisions on the weather pattern.
