The Hotel Edelweiß garni, a family business with a heart, is located in an absolutely quiet and central south-facing slope. You will immediately feel at home in the personal and warm atmosphere. It is only a two-minute walk to the centre of the village, and many restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. Start the day with our rich gourmet breakfast buffet. We offer lovingly furnished standard and comfort rooms, some with a new "Alpenflair" look or with an extra bed. All rooms are individually furnished and equipped with attention to detail. A very appealing ambience in alpine style surrounds you in our lounge and in the light-flooded winter garden. Summer: Directly behind the Edelweiss you will find the nature park "Grünbühel" with many resting benches, Kneipp facility, water lily pond, Hausbachfall with via ferrata and the entrance to the versatile hiking trail network. The outdoor swimming pool is not far from the hotel. Winter: Cross-country skiing trails, shuttle buses to the Winklmoos-Steinplatte skiing area, local bus (according to timetable) toboggan slope and well-maintained winter hiking trails are just a few minutes' walk away. Your advantage as our guest: We are partner landlord/operator of the Reit im Winkl swimming card. This gives you the opportunity to receive further free services in addition to our own, such as free entry to the Reit im Winkl open-air swimming pool, the Kössen forest swimming pool and the lido pools at Walchsee. Furthermore, we are a partner rental company/operator of the Benz- Eck ski lifts. This gives you the opportunity to receive further free services, such as free travel on the Benzeck lifts in winter. Environment description

Reit im Winkl climatic health resort According to Wikipedia, the title "climatic health resort" is awarded to "places whose air and climate, according to an expert opinion, have properties that are conducive to recreation and health. Reit im Winkl was designated a climatic health resort in 1956 and since then has repeatedly met the requirements for the certificate by making efforts. For one thing, the altitude ensures that the summer heat remains moderate and the nights pleasantly cool. The village is surrounded by extensive mountain forests of the Chiemgau Alps and belongs to the "Bavarian Alps" climate district. The weather character is decisively determined by the conditions, i.e. by the influence of the mountain ranges and the valley incisions on the weather events.In addition to the natural conditions for good air, we actively take care with the natural warmth or ample bus offers that the good mountain air is preserved for us.

Arrival Description

Leave the motorway A8 Munich-Salzburg at the exit Bernau and turn left in the direction of Grassau - Marquartstein and from there in the direction of Reit im Winkl. Arrived in the centre of the village until the church, then turn right in the direction of the mountain side and you will find the "Edelweiß", 100 m above the church.
