The family-run traditional hotel is picturesquely situated directly on the emerald green, world-famous Königssee, surrounded by the mountain panorama of the Berchtesgaden Alps. The hotel is an ideal starting point for an unforgettable trip across the Königssee. The skiing and hiking area around the Jenner with the traditional Jennerbahn is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel and offers delightful leisure activities such as cross-country skiing, snowboarding and skiing in winter or mountain biking, mountain walking and hiking in summer. Schönau am Königssee and the Berchtesgadener Land offer a rich variety of leisure attractions for young and old, such as a visit to the salt mine, the Kehlsteinhaus or a drive along the Rossfeldstrasse. All excursion destinations can be easily reached from the nearby bus stop. You can also reach the cultural city of Salzburg in only about 30 minutes by car.

Arrival Description

You drive from the A8 Munich direction Salzburg. Take the exit Bad Reichenhall. This is the last exit before the Austrian border. (VIGNETTENPFLICHT!) From Bad Reichenhall on the B20 follow the signs to Berchtesgaden. You will pass through the towns of Bad Reichenhall, Bayerisch Gmain, Hallthurm and Bischofswiesen and finally come to the large traffic circle at the Berchtesgaden train station. From there, take the exit in the direction of Königssee. You are now on the B 20. Follow this until the end where you will see a gas station on the left and a Mc Donald's on the right. You enter the large parking lot Königssee and immediately take the right exit to the bus parking lots. Now you are on the Seestraße. After about 50 meters turn left into Jennerbahstraße. Follow this street until you reach the first entrance on the left. Turn left into Seestraße, here you can park your car. From there you can walk a few more meters into the pedestrian zone to your Hotel Schiffmeister.
