Feel good and have a good rest. The Knapphof guesthouse is situated in a quiet and sunny location in Reit im Winkl, district Blindau. Whatever you would like to experience as a holidaymaker in summer or winter on a holiday in our beautiful nature, you will find it on our doorstep. Bavarian hospitality and a family atmosphere are very important to us. In our cosy farmhouse parlour with tiled stove warmth, a breakfast buffet with lovingly produced farm and regional products awaits you. In the lounge you will also find a kitchenette with a guest refrigerator. Enjoy sunny hours on our terrace or sunbathing lawn. Comfortably furnished rooms with shower/WC, TV, hairdryer and balcony await you. For our families there is a small children's playground at the house. Ski lifts, cross-country skiing trails, snow tubing, hiking trails and bicycle paths are close to the house. Visit our alpine hut on the Winklmoos-Alm. You can rent this as a holiday flat from 1 October to 25 May. It offers space for a maximum of 8 people and is purely self-catering.

This gives you the opportunity to receive additional free services in addition to our own services, such as free admission to the Reit im Winkl outdoor pool, the Kössen forest swimming pool, and the east shore and lake promenade at Walchsee.

We are also a partner rental company/operator of the Benzeck ski lifts. This means that, in addition to our own services, you can enjoy other free services such as free travel on the Benzeck lifts in winter (€1.00 contribution towards costs).

Reit im Winkl climatic health resort

According to Wikipedia, the title "climatic health resort" is awarded to "places whose air and climate, according to an expert opinion, have properties that are conducive to recreation and health. Reit im Winkl was designated a climatic health resort in 1956 and since then has repeatedly met the requirements for the certificate by making efforts. For one thing, the altitude ensures that the summer heat remains moderate and the nights pleasantly cool. The village is surrounded by extensive mountain forests of the Chiemgau Alps and belongs to the "Bavarian Alps" climate district. The weather character is decisively determined by the conditions, i.e. by the influence of the mountain ranges and the valley incisions on the weather pattern. In addition to the natural conditions for good air, we actively take care with the natural warmth or ample bus offers that the good mountain air is preserved for us.

Arrival Description

Leave the motorway A8 Munich-Salzburg at the exit Bernau and turn left towards Grassau - Marquartstein and from there towards Reit im Winkl. You will find us in the district Blindau.
