The guesthouse Wimmer is located in the climatic health resort Reit im Winkl in Chiemgau, more precisely in the district Blindau. Four lovingly furnished vacation apartments await you, from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. The apartments are furnished in a bright, Bavarian style and leave nothing to be desired.  
Our closeness to nature and love for nature is reflected especially in the summer. Thus, the house is transformed every year into a true paradise for flower lovers.

Your advantage as our guest: We are a partner rental company/business of the Reit im Winkl Swimming Card. This gives you the opportunity to receive additional free services in addition to our own services, such as free admission to the Reit im Winkl outdoor pool, the Kössen forest swimming pool, and the east shore and lake promenade at Walchsee.

We are also a partner rental company/operator of the Benzeck ski lifts. This means that, in addition to our own services, you can enjoy other free services such as free travel on the Benzeck lifts in winter (€1.00 contribution towards costs).

Sports enthusiasts have with us an ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours.  
For the Brettlspaß in winter is also provided. Our house guests enjoy discounts at the ski rental and at the ski school of Reit im Winkl. Nothing stands in the way of your active or relaxing vacation. Your family Wimmer.

Reit im Winkl climatic health resort
According to Wikipedia, the title "climatic health resort" is awarded to "places whose air and climate, according to an expert opinion, have properties that are conducive to recreation and health. Reit im Winkl was designated a climatic health resort in 1956 and since then has repeatedly met the requirements for the certificate by making efforts. For one thing, the altitude ensures that the summer heat remains moderate and the nights pleasantly cool. The village is surrounded by extensive mountain forests of the Chiemgau Alps and belongs to the "Bavarian Alps" climate district. The weather character is decisively determined by the conditions, i.e. by the influence of the mountain ranges and the valley incisions on the weather pattern. In addition to the natural conditions for good air, we actively take care with the natural warmth or ample bus offers that the good mountain air is preserved for us.

Visitor's tax per person/night throughout the year

100% and their necessary accompanying persons are exempt from visitor's tax.

For severely disabled persons with a degree of disability of 80-99%, the visitor's tax is half the amount.

Arrival Description

By car to Reit im Winkl: Coming from Munich on the A 8 motorway, take the Grabenstätt exit. From there take the Bundesstraße 305 (German Alpine Road) to Reit im Winkl (27km). The Inntal motorway offers an alternative. Turn off shortly before Rosenheim at the "Inntaldreieck" and drive to the Oberaudorf exit. From there, take the Austrian federal road 172 to Reit im Winkl. Coming from Salzburg, take the motorway (A 8) to the Inzell-Ruhpolding exit and continue via Ruhpolding to Reit im Winkl. By train to Reit im Winkl. The nearest train station is in Prien am Chiemsee. From here you have the best bus connections (RVO bus line 9505) to Reit im Winkl. By plane: Munich Airport is approx. 140 km and Salzburg Airport approx. 70 km from Reit im Winkl.
