Reit im Winkl climatic health resort

According to Wikipedia, the title "climatic health resort" is awarded to "places whose air and climate, according to an expert opinion, have properties that are conducive to recreation and health. Reit im Winkl was designated a climatic health resort in 1956 and since then has repeatedly met the requirements for the certificate by making efforts. For one thing, the altitude ensures that the summer heat remains moderate and the nights pleasantly cool. The village is surrounded by extensive mountain forests of the Chiemgau Alps and belongs to the "Bavarian Alps" climate district. The weather character is decisively determined by the conditions, i.e. by the influence of the mountain ranges and the valley incisions on the weather pattern. In addition to the natural conditions for good air, we actively take care with the natural warmth or ample bus offers that the good mountain air is preserved for us.

Visitor's tax per person/night throughout the year

Arrival Description

Via München-Salzburg Autobahn A8 take the Bernau exit to reach federal road B305. Follow this road through the towns of Bernau, Rottau, Grassau, Marquartstein, Unter- and Oberwössen, always following the direction to Reit im Winkl. Once in town, follow the street until you get to the center of town. Go past the church to reach the Rathausplatz, where you will find our property, "Beim Foidlmoar" am Rathausplatz 8 directly opposite the "Rathaus" (town hall).
