In winter, you can enjoy direct access at the house to the perfectly groomed cross-country ski runs and winter hiking trails and reach the Benzeck ski area with snow tubing facility, the 10 km long natural toboggan run and the stop for the free shuttle bus to the Winklmoos/Steinplatte ski area as well as the free local bus in just a few minutes' walk. Ski room & ski boot heating available!
Shopping facilities: Everything you need for breakfast is just a minute's walk away, at the ever-popular "Semmelhäusl" bakery Neumaier. In the immediate vicinity you will find the "Gasthaus Sonneck", which will spoil you with delicious Bavarian delicacies and as a special tip for fish lovers, the "Forellenstube", which offers Steckerlfisch (trout) grilled over an open fire. Many other shopping facilities, restaurants & cafes invite you to visit the centre of Reit im Winkl.

The Bavarian climatic health resort of Reit im Winkl is located in the heart of the Chiemgau, south of Lake Chiemsee and at 696 meters above sea level. the highest municipality in the district of Taunstein. According to Wikipedia, the predicate climatic health resort is awarded to "localities whose air and climate, according to an expert opinion, have properties that are conducive to relaxation and health. Arrival Description
By car to Reit im Winkl... coming from Munich on the Autobahn A 8, take the Grabenstätt exit. Follow the Bundesstraße 305 to Reit im Winkl. An alternate route is via the Inntal-Autobahn. Shortly before Rosenheim turn right on the Inntal-highway triangle and travel to exit Oberaudorf. From there, follow the Austrian Bundesstraße 172 to Reit im Winkl. Coming from Salzburg, take the Autobahn A 8 till the Inzell-Ruhpolding exit and continue on via Ruhpolding to Reit im Winkl. By train to Reit im Winkl... The closest train stations are in Ruhpolding, Übersee, Bernau or Prien on Lake Chiemsee. The best bus connections are from Prien. By plane... The Munich Airport is approximatel 140 km and the Salzburg Airport approx. 70 km away from Reit im Winkl.Facilities & information
