Experience Reit im Winkl's enchanting charm in our beautifully idyllic and wonderfully quiet "small" but "fine" guesthouse Schönfeld. Stylish and well-equipped, comfortable holiday apartments with large, secluded balconies and stunning mountain views, as well as an in-house sauna, await you. Free parking spaces with electric charging stations are located directly at the house, and free Wi-Fi is available in all apartments. Cozy bed linens and ample hand/bath/dish towels, as well as bathrobes, are provided.
In summer, you can enjoy the beautiful natural landscape surrounding our guesthouse. A charming garden with many secluded spots, a covered sun terrace, and a barbecue area invite you to relax and linger. Pure sunshine from early morning until sunset! The diverse opportunities right on our doorstep for mountain and summit tours, gorge hikes, Nordic walking trails, trail running routes, jogging routes, cycling, mountain biking, and e-bike tours invite you to extraordinary journeys of discovery in a fascinating natural setting. A free hiking bus also takes you to other attractive hiking starting points for beautiful circular tours and lovely excursion destinations in the surrounding area of Reit im Winkl. A lockable bike garage with e-bike charging stations is available! A children's playground is located nearby.
In winter, you can enjoy a snow-covered winter landscape around our guesthouse. Discover the diverse opportunities right on our doorstep for winter hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, skating, tobogganing (10 km long natural toboggan run), and skiing adventures with the whole family in the Benzeck ski area (partner operation: skiing for €1 per day per person), which features snow tubing and a wonderful refreshment stop at the "Blindauer Liftstüberl." Enjoy the convenience of being just a 3-minute walk from the bus stop for the free ski/local bus, which will take you to the cross-border Winklmoos/Steinplatte ski area, where skiing on many kilometers of slopes is guaranteed until spring. The free ski/local bus also conveniently connects you to all other parts of Reit im Winkl, where, of course, many more winter adventures await you. A ski room with ski boot heaters and sleds are available!
Kids' Service: Upon request, we provide a free travel cot, high chair, changing mat, baby bath, potty, toilet seat, stroller, and, in winter, sleds and push-sleds.
Shopping: In the immediate vicinity, you will find the "Gasthaus Sonneck" restaurant, which will spoil you with delicious Bavarian delicacies. Everything you need for breakfast is available at our two bakeries in the center of Reit im Winkl, where many other shops, restaurants, and cafes also invite you to visit.

Arrival Description
Reit im Winkl is located in the Bavarian Alps in the Chiemgau region, between Lake Chiemsee and Kitzbühel, in the border triangle of Bavaria, Salzburg, and Tyrol. Our house is located in the charming and sunny district of Blindau, in a quiet and scenic location.
By car to Reit im Winkl...
- coming from Munich on the A8, take the Grabenstätt exit. From there, take the B305 federal highway to Reit im Winkl.
- A good alternative is the Inntal Autobahn. Turn off at the Inntaldreieck junction just before Rosenheim and drive to the Oberaudorf exit. From there, take the Austrian B172 federal highway to Reit im Winkl. (This route is toll-free and does not require a vignette!)
- Coming from Salzburg, take the A8 motorway to the Inzell-Ruhpolding exit and continue via Ruhpolding to Reit im Winkl.
By train to Reit im Winkl...
- The nearest train stations are in Ruhpolding, Übersee, Bernau, and Prien am Chiemsee. From Prien, you have the best bus connections to Reit im Winkl..
- Munich Airport is approximately 140 km from Reit im Winkl
- and Salzburg Airport is approximately 70 km away.
