That’s exactly what the Kräuterhäusl is for.
Located at the entrance to the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park, in Puchenstuben’s oldest house, we warmly welcome families, groups of friends, and small teams. Renovated with great care, the Kräuterhäusl combines historic charm with modern comfort and, with four living units and the Trefflingfall apartment, offers space for up to 28 people.
A place for special moments
Whether it’s breakfast together, a barbecue in the garden, or after a hike—this is where memories are made that will last a lifetime. The spacious common areas invite you to spend time together, while the separate living units offer everyone their own personal retreat.
For workshops, retreats, or small seminars, our approximately 70 m² “Gedankenstube” is available—a bright room perfect for meaningful conversations and new ideas.
Experience nature—right on your doorstep
Hiking trails, trail running routes, and bike tours start right on our doorstep. In the summer, the Puchenstuben Alpine Outdoor Pool and numerous Excursion destinations ensure a varied vacation experience. The Kräuterhäusl is also easily accessible via the Mariazellerbahn—it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the train station, and we’d be happy to pick up your luggage upon request.

There are many opportunities for shared activities in and around the Kräuterhäusl. Tennis, pickleball, the Alpenfreibad, a children’s playground, and a curling rink are all within easy walking distance. Inside the house, you’ll find a dartboard and a gas grill, among other amenities. Upon request, we can also arrange catering, cooking workshops, a private chef on-site, or yoga sessions. Payment of the total price is made in advance by bank transfer.Cancellations made up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge. Later cancellations will be charged with 70% of the total price.
