Details

Additional sleeping accommodation is provided by a sofa bed for two people in the living room.
If required, we are also happy to provide a travel cot. The bright kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker with ceramic hob, an oven, a fridge-freezer, a microwave, a dishwasher and sufficient eating and cooking utensils. The holiday apartment is equipped with bed linen, hand and tea towels, a small library and a television with satellite reception. Of course, we also offer free WiFi.

The charming village of Nottuln, surrounded by the green Baumberge hills, is a cosy and historic village. Half-timbered houses, historic farms, manor houses and monasteries built from Baumberger sandstone, excellent restaurants, the Wellenfreibad outdoor swimming pool, the old blue printing works and much more make it an attractive destination. The town centre, rebuilt by Johann Conrad Schlaun after the devastating fire of 1748, is particularly pleasing to the eye.

Description

You can set off directly from the holiday flat and within a minute you are surrounded by beautiful nature with lush green meadows and forests and the gentle hills of the Baumberge. It is not without reason that it is called the Münsterland park landscape with its beautiful farms built from Baumberger sandstone.

The town centre, rebuilt by Johann Conrad Schlaun after the devastating fire of 1748, is particularly pleasing to the eye. The beautiful parish church of St. Martinus, whose history probably dates back to the construction of the original parish church in the 9th century, displays its elegant architecture. Schlaun, a master of Baroque architecture who left his mark throughout the Münsterland region, has shaped the atmospheric image of the historic village centre.

Equally typical of the region and the village of Nottuln is the use of Baumberger sandstone, which gives many buildings and sculptures a bright colour. Visitors interested in archaeology will find that Nottuln is located in an area where traces of settlement date back to the fourth millennium BC. The beautiful Münsterland parkland is also a defining feature of Nottuln and its surroundings.
