The large living room and bedroom captivates by a refined lighting technology and an equally strict stripe pattern in the wallpaper in beige/white set off by an oversized border. The bathroom is approx. 25 sqm large and with installations by the designer Philippe Starck, a stressed strict line has been achieved. The whirlpool has a capacity of 260 ltr. Two lounges and a reading room complete the generosity of this suite, which is unique in the Münsterland. This room is furnished with antique furniture.

Description

Once an old moated castle and first mentioned in a document as early as 1311, this typical Westphalian moated castle is located just a few kilometers from the gates of the historic city of Münster, particularly quiet and idyllic.

In the 16th century, the castle underwent a transformation in the late Renaissance style, which was supplemented by baroque elements in the 18th century. The history of the house is still reflected today in the precious stucco ceilings, copperplate engravings, paintings and antiques. The rooms have been restored with great attention to detail, allowing elegance and modernity to be experienced as tradition from a single source.


Since 1958 the castle has been run as a restaurant and hotel. Family atmosphere, combined with lively hospitality, promise a special stay.

The rooms and suites are individually furnished and are located in the castle and in the annex. The outer castle and the main castle lie within the moats. The rooms are equipped with a minibar, television and direct dial telephone. An extensive breakfast buffet guarantees a good start to the day.

Kurtaxe Information

The accommodation tax of the city of Münster amounting to 4.5% of the accommodation price is not yet included and will be charged additionally on site.
