With the S-Bahn Line "S8" to Ismaning, change there for bus 230 to Aschheim Mitte. Then just a few meters walk to the hotel. Total travel time: 29 minutes.
From the main train station (Hauptbahnhof München):
Take the S-Bahn Line "S2"- towards Erding, get off at the "Riem" train station. Take the bus 263 to Aschheim and get off at "Aschheim Mitte". Walk 50 meters to the hotel. Total time approx. 30 minutes.

"We were there to visit the regenerative clinic next door so the location was perfect. The people were great, accommodating and kind and we loved the restaurant. The first night we were on floor 3, Rosa, facing the street, and it was so loud and so bright in the room I couldn’t sleep, but the room was adorable. We asked to be moved and the second night we were in the back building and I slept much better. The room wasn’t as nice and no kettle for coffee or tea but it was quiet. I do hate the plastic bedding, it is noisy and makes me sweat, so points off for that, but we would stay again. Plastic sheets Sheets"

"The hotel is stunning. The attention to detail in my bedroom was truly beautiful. It was warm, when it was-8’C outside, so warm was greatly welcome. It was spotlessly clean and cleaned daily. The shower was amazing and such a great use of architecture. The staff are kind, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food and menu choice is vast, and the probably the reason why the restaurant was so busy on a mid-January evening. I had a salad. I have never seen such an abundance of different coloured vegetables. It was one of the most beautiful rooms I have ever stayed in. Thank you for making my stay so perfect. Amazing It was so clean and spotless. I think it was too cheap for the decor, cleanliness and the warm welcome I received. Perfect for my needs. Such a soft bed and the pillows were like clouds. Excellent. Beautiful and authentic. The hotel has everything I needed and is close to the bus into town. Stunning. From the cow-bell light, to the reindeer antler lampshade. Everything was perfect."

"December 2025. Great, great experience at Hotel Gasthof Schäfflerwirt! We opted to try staying outside of Munich for our five nights in Bavaria. Quick, easy access into Munich or around the Bavaria region via Munchen OST station. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They even fed us although the restaurant was fully booked. Great rooms. Clean and well apportioned.ally, really good breakfast! Re We were able to easily communicate with the hotel to ask questions and prepare for our stay. Would we stay here again? Absolutely! Price was about half is the daily rate staying in Munich proper. The money we saved paid for our transportation to and around Munich. Plus cash leftover."

"This trip to Munich I decided to stay in a local Bavarian hotel and I'm very glad I did. My room was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities I needed. Just missing a kettle and some tea/coffee, which would have been very welcome. Good choice of breakfast options - continental cheeses, meats, cereals, juices, tea/coffee, eggs and bacon. I believe they also serve evening dinner, but unfortunately I always came back too late for this, so maybe next time! Very conveniently situated, just 2 mins from a bus stop direct to Munich Messe in one direction, or towards the airport in the other. Than you for a pleasant stay :)"

"We enjoyed our stay in your hotel as it’s very clean and the family managing the hotel are very helpful . You need to improve the following :- 1- You need to have bidets in the bathroom in case the space does not help you can fix a hand bidet with a hose beside the toilet. 2- The breakfast is good but can be improved by adding salmon and either fried eggs or omelet upon request. Also there is not enough pastry specially chocolate croissants and the quality of pastry can be improved. 3- We stayed in room 37 it’s a very nice room but the slanted ceiling is a problem I bumped my head in it several times specially at night . To help in this problem you should add a dim light to turn on at night this will also help if you want to use the bathroom at night. 4- The shower cabin in our room was small. Large shower cabins are more comfortable. 5- I myself do not like basins sitting on a top because the water flows out on the top I prefer built in basins. The bed mattress can be more comfortable Very good value for the money"

"Just outside of Munich the hotel is near anything you would want to visit in the city. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the bar was relaxing for both the guests and the local residents. Definitely would stay here again in the future! "We had a lovely stay while we were visiting Munich for Oktoberfest. We had rented a car and it was a very easy drive over to the S2 to get downtown for the festivities. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was first class and the staff was exceptionally accommodating. The only downside is that there are always smokers standing around outside, which filtered into the private areas. As a non-smoker, this was a bothersome experience throughout Germany, but certainly won't stop me from visiting again. Also, the Duke distillery is in walking distance. I highly recommend taking a tour while you are in town."
