"My husband and I have been coming to the Marc for several years and would not think of going anywhere else. The rooms are clean and comfortable, front desk service is excellent, and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. Of course the proximity not only to the main train station, but also to S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations is advantageous, and it is only about a 10 minute walk to Karlsplatz/Marienplatz!"

"Would definitely recommend this hotel! We found all the staff to be lovely and friendly, reception staff are very helpful. Rooms are great and spotlessly clean. We overlooked the garden and it was very quiet and we both slept well. Lots of choice for breakfast and the breakfast room had a lovely atmosphere. Short walk from central station and really good location for walking into Munich centre."

"Have stayed here many times over the years. This hotel is very clean and modern and a very short walk to the main train station. The rooms are clean and modern and well-equipped. Breakfast is excellent and there is air conditioning in the rooms, which are quiet even on the floor right above the street. There's also a water dispenser in the lobby, which dispenses carbonated and non-carbonated water. The staff is very helpful."

"This small hotel has a surprisingly elegant decor and a quiet location, within an easy walk to the main train station. We found it to be an excellent choice, with spacious and well equipped rooms. The windows were adjustable for airflow and were absolutely quiet to street sounds when locked. The desk and service staff were excellent and very helpful, and satisfactorily answered all our questions about dining and attractions, as well as means of travel. We would stay there again, without hesitation. We cannot attest to food service, as we did not dine at the hotel."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, well appointed, and spacious. We had been in Europe for 4 weeks and this was our last hotel out of 18. Best bathroom of all our hotels: shower was spacious, not too slippery, and configured such that water stayed in the shower and not all over the bathroom floor. There were enough towel racks, the towels were soft yet absorbent, and there were two glasses of different colors so you could tell whose was whose. There was nice lighting and conveniently located electrical outlets for charging devices, etc. The front desk staff were personable, efficient, and very helpful. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the train station and a ten minute walk to the Lufthansa express bus to the airport. The neighborhood was a little dodgy but safe. I would stay again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. And the air conditioning worked very well, so the room temperature was very comfortable."

"Although our stay was short, it was very sweet! We were there for a solar convention and having the train station so close to the hotel was a huge benefit. We were also able to take the train to Munich Stadium to watch a European futbol championship match. Old Munich is walking distance, with some of the best restaurants in all of Germany. They also serve beer in the front lobby, which has comfortable seating to relax in. The breakfast is above satisfactory, with an omelette bar. It was small but clean and everything worked properly. The lighting was exceptional. There was always someone at the front desk to help It was a little too pricey for the size and amenities provided There was a lot of construction work going on right near the hotel, but when that is complete, it will be a prime location I did not use the Wi-Fi very much, but it seemed to work just fine when I did I would go again Very high-quality food and I love that they have fresh greens along with all of the other delicious breakfast items. Very good ambience for The amount of space they have."

"I enjoy staying in the Marc Hotel. The location is really convenient. The staff at the lobby is really friendly and nice, and even offered me a kettle. The breakfast is perfect. There are various kinds of foods and most of them are delicious. However, a fly in the ointment was that the cups and the coffee machine in the room are not clean. Besides, the ceiling and the wall aren’t soundproof enough. I can easily hear the footsteps from the upper floor. Very near to Central Station, but the nearby surroundings is messy."

"Do consider this hotel for your stay in Munich. Location is 5 minutes walk from main train station which is the ideal location for public transport in the city and for long distance trains. My room was well appointed, comfortable bed, well equipped bathroom and so clean. Breakfast room is very large and welcoming with so many options. Breakfast staff is extremely accommodating. Front desk staff...Jean Claude, Raju, Dimitri among others are the picture of professionalism and understanding about how to provide outstanding service. clean...well appointed...comfortable reception staff and breakfast room staff so accommodating and friendly I stayed 2 weeks just after Octoberfest. Price I paid for a queen sized room...including breakfast....was very reasonable for location and quality of hotel 5 minute walk to main train station for public city transport and for long distance train travel. Easy connection to airport outstanding location for tourism or business.....exceptionally clean......friendly and welcoming atmosphere at reception so many breakfast choices well presented and the staff accommodates meal requests so efficiently Color scheme in public areas and in rooms is very relaxing. Lobby and breakfast room tend to set the tone for a stay at the hotel."

"Very happy with my room, loved the toiletries and very impressed with the calming spray for my pillow. The breakfast buffet was superb. Complaints: my room was terribly hot - 24 degrees! Took ages to cool it down. The buffet staff didn't have much understanding of food allergies. I asked which foods were gluten free as I have Coeliac disease, and they kept trying to give me lactose free foods. I would have liked more breakfast but didn't dare because I didn't want to be sick from accidentally eating gluten. Also there were no tea making facilities in my room. I had to go down to reception to ask for a kettle and tea bags Could have been cooler Need tea making facilities in the rooms - not everyone drinks coffee Only cost half as much as the hotel opposite and just as good! Close to city centre Worked well Very comfortable, clean and modern Staff need to be educated in food allergies. Otherwise the food was excellent. Very nice hotel"

"We were in Munich, with a 13-person family group, to both enjoy a few days at Oktoberfest and see as many of the outstanding sites available as we could. Our room was one of the more spacious ones in our group (a double twin). We would definitely stay here again if we make a return visit. But the best parts of our stay (other than the Lowenbrau tent) was coming down every morning to the best breakfast buffet ever. The selection, quality and service was second to none. Maybe it was the very drunk Oktoberfester peeing on the building across the street while families walked by. Just the BEST! Well renovated building in a not so renovated area. "From the sparkling water on tap in the lobby to great recommendations for local fare from the front desk staff, we were comfortable and cared for at the Marc München. The concierge was disappointed overhearing that we had gone to Starbuck’s, and quickly set about recommending local restaurants to try - and they were fantastic. The breakfast in the on-site restaurant was a perfect way to start the day, and the room was appropriately appointed. The immediate neighborhood is not that lovely, but the proximity to Karlsplatz and the Hbhf maire than made up for it. We would definitely recommend - a great value for the stay. Please add conditioner and a bar of soap - otherwise comfortable and quiet The daytime concierge recommended Augustiner-Keller Biergarten for dinner. What a find! We never would have discovered it on our own and it was our best meal. The breakfast variety was plentiful and the latte machine was a nice treat Chic vibe with colorful decor"

"Our room was comfortable, the shower was a comfortable size, and we appreciate air conditioning. There were issues with the larger elevator, which required two service calls. We could not figure out how the lights worked. One switch seemed to turn everything off, regardless of whether you turned them on with the switch directly related to that light. An example is the bathroom. If you turned on the lights by the switch in the bathroom, and someone else turned the bedside switch off, the bathroom lights turned off too, even though someone was still in the bathroom. Then the lights dimmed on their own, which we didn't want. We also would have liked a "to go" option for breakfast as we had to leave early to catch our flight home. However, the breakfast room was lovely and the food options extensive and very tasty."
