"We chose the hotel because of the good reviews that we saw online. Our stay was brief, just one night, and we were flying back home the next day. First, the location is in a not-so-great side of town, which we did not know about before we arrived. The front staff were some of the least friendly people we met on our trip. "The hotel is in an excellent location - just a few minutes walk to the main train station. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. It was great to have a water station in the lobby. However, there were some issues. The closets were very dusty and the refrigerator did not work. The towel rack in the bathroom which was also a towel warmer, stopped working. The body wash in the bathroom was not refilled after our room was cleaned. Lastly, our TV was not working and we needed the staff to reset it. Overall, it was a comfortable place to rest, but some amenities and services could be better."

"Staff were attentive and super polite. Didn’t eat at the restaurant since we prefer to eat at small local establishments. Did walk into the restaurant in the morning during breakfast and the buffet looked great. I would rate it higher if it was a bit larger. Rooms were a bit small but they served our need as we only stayed three nights. Spaces were all cleaned regularly. Staff always will to help."

"This hotel was amazing. although the street you walk down may seem a little "not safe" based off of people always loitering, once you get into the hotel the atmosphere changes immediately. The hotel is very safe, very clean, and very friendly staff. The staff speaks English as well. The rooms were spacious, big bathroom with a waterfall shower head and magnification mirror, a towel water rack that also warmed the tile in the bathroom outside the shower, and air-conditioning. You MUST opt-in for the breakfast here, it was incredible! Many different options, as well as vegan options, and the staff for the breakfast tea are so warm and welcoming. Every morning they came around and gave us fresh pressed juice, which was delicious. If I ever go back to Munich, I will definitely be staying here! Also super great location to the central train station, radius tours meet up, and the downtown area! 10/10!!!"

"Very good hotel for a great price. The room was great, very clean, quiet, and had a large bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were extra happy that we included the breakfast buffet. It had a lot of choices and the food was excellent. The staff in the dining room were great! The location was super convenient for all the touring we wanted to do. For me, the mattress could have been a little better, but otherwise we were very happy with our stay."

"I have visited Hotel Marc several times in the recent years. The service is always great, the rooms are spacious enough, clean and well kept. The breakfast is also really good - not spectacular but everything that you would expect and even more. Location near the main central station is not perhaps the nicest one, but it is very convenient for example when traveling from and to the airport with train."

"The room and the entire hotel were beautifully designed. I especially liked the breakfast area with its tasteful dishes and furnishings. "The standard room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and everything worked perfectly. The hotel is close to the train station and all other public transport and close enough to the old town to walk there. Breakfast could be cheaper, but it looked good. We enjoyed our stay. Very convenient for travel. The neighbourhood around the train station is like many European cities and a bit seedy, but it seems quite safe near the hotel."

"Just south of the main train station, location is perfect for getting around Munich whether walking or using public transport. Rooms are nice with enough space (in our case for two people). "My friend and I had a "Deluxe Double Bed" room booked. The description for the room states "Our Deluxe Double/Twin Rooms - the ideal solution for business travelers...You can choose between two beds next to each other or separate beds.". Upon arriving, I asked the receptionist to confirm we would have separate beds; he was very rude and insisted I didn't select it in advance. I said "Okay, well, I'm requesting it now", and he went back and forth with us stating I did not request it in advance. Fine - but - Now I'm requesting it. They had plenty of rooms available, and he DID give us a room with 2 beds - but he made it such a hassle and it was not a very welcoming experience. With that said, the hotel was clean, rooms were priced nicely, it was in walking distance to the train, and we appreciated the free water in the lobby."

"My husband and I have been coming to the Marc for several years and would not think of going anywhere else. Of course the proximity not only to the main train station, but also to S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations is advantageous, and it is only about a 10 minute walk to Karlsplatz/Marienplatz!"

"Have stayed here many times over the years. This hotel is very clean and modern and a very short walk to the main train station. The rooms are clean and modern and well-equipped. Breakfast is excellent and there is air conditioning in the rooms, which are quiet even on the floor right above the street. There's also a water dispenser in the lobby, which dispenses carbonated and non-carbonated water. The staff is very helpful."

"This small hotel has a surprisingly elegant decor and a quiet location, within an easy walk to the main train station. We found it to be an excellent choice, with spacious and well equipped rooms. The windows were adjustable for airflow and were absolutely quiet to street sounds when locked. The desk and service staff were excellent and very helpful, and satisfactorily answered all our questions about dining and attractions, as well as means of travel. We would stay there again, without hesitation. We cannot attest to food service, as we did not dine at the hotel."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, well appointed, and spacious. We had been in Europe for 4 weeks and this was our last hotel out of 18. Best bathroom of all our hotels: shower was spacious, not too slippery, and configured such that water stayed in the shower and not all over the bathroom floor. There were enough towel racks, the towels were soft yet absorbent, and there were two glasses of different colors so you could tell whose was whose. There was nice lighting and conveniently located electrical outlets for charging devices, etc. The front desk staff were personable, efficient, and very helpful. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the train station and a ten minute walk to the Lufthansa express bus to the airport. The neighborhood was a little dodgy but safe. I would stay again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. And the air conditioning worked very well, so the room temperature was very comfortable."

"Although our stay was short, it was very sweet! We were there for a solar convention and having the train station so close to the hotel was a huge benefit. We were also able to take the train to Munich Stadium to watch a European futbol championship match. Old Munich is walking distance, with some of the best restaurants in all of Germany. They also serve beer in the front lobby, which has comfortable seating to relax in. The breakfast is above satisfactory, with an omelette bar. It was small but clean and everything worked properly. The lighting was exceptional. There was always someone at the front desk to help It was a little too pricey for the size and amenities provided There was a lot of construction work going on right near the hotel, but when that is complete, it will be a prime location I did not use the Wi-Fi very much, but it seemed to work just fine when I did I would go again Very high-quality food and I love that they have fresh greens along with all of the other delicious breakfast items. Very good ambience for The amount of space they have."

"I enjoy staying in the Marc Hotel. The location is really convenient. The staff at the lobby is really friendly and nice, and even offered me a kettle. The breakfast is perfect. There are various kinds of foods and most of them are delicious. However, a fly in the ointment was that the cups and the coffee machine in the room are not clean. Besides, the ceiling and the wall aren’t soundproof enough. I can easily hear the footsteps from the upper floor. Very near to Central Station, but the nearby surroundings is messy."
