"We haven't had hot water in the room for two days, the water comes out at a very low temperature. This first day we were assured that the problem would be resolved but, after 48 hours the temperature was still really low. The situation was the same for the 4 rooms I booked. While we understand that there may be unforeseen events, a high-level structure like yours cannot afford not to guarantee a quick solution to the problem. We are sorry above all because the structure met our expectations but, as you can understand, comfort must be a priority to be guaranteed."

"It has been a very uncomfortable stay. To begin with, the room was very cold. But much! Even though the heating was on, it did not get hot enough on the two nights I stayed. The room is unpleasant, with the TV too far from the bed and too poor lighting. Especially in the toilet: impossible to get ready in the morning due to lack of light. And the red line was that on the afternoon of the first day and the morning of the second, there was no hot water, so I had to shower both times with cold water. Since there is no telephone in the room to contact the reception (how crazy about self-check-in receptions!), I went down to the reception twice to protest: on neither occasion was anyone there . A disaster! Not only will I not return to your hotel, but I will recommend that no one stay there."

"The good points are check-in and check-out are quick although still need some assistance. Room size and beds are sufficient. Breakfast is ok but can be better. Location is great. The bad points are mostly the room. Its dark. There are lights that are not even useful. Defective lights are reported but not fixed after 2 nights. Toilet entry positions are awful. Glass bathrooms are without option to cover like curtains and such. Its cold when you get out of the shower because the main toilet entry does not have any doors. AC temp does not work to regulate room temp. No concierge to keep luggage. There is a paid option but a hassle for guest."

"In fact, the checkin process was smooth, even though some improvement as to the UI is possible. We can understand why with some somewhat late arrival (8.30pm) there was no housekeeping foreseen next day. Room was Ok, clean when we came in, fine bedding. But there was no housekeeping in our room 410 the first 3 days. On Friday, we first complained and got at least some fresh towels, plus the promise that on Saturday the room will be 'tiptop' cleaned and everything, but on Saturday evening, when we came in at 6 pm, NOTHING had happened. This is fully inacceptable, Flemings has a good reputation, and I visited one some years ago in Dortmund, where everything was at a top level. Add to this that on the first evening, WE, we took a light dinner at the "Cucina de Nina", but there was no salad, no meat, just some pizza and pasta. This may happen, but still the staff has to sell this in a polite and convenient way, not by being somewhat grunchy. Given the number of hotels around your house, I'd need a big incentive to book Flemings Munich-City again for a future visit... Thanks for reading my comment"

"The hotel has become very impersonal. Self check-in is not straightforward and I needed help as did every other guest. It is a slow process that requires staff assistance. No mini bar. Tea and coffee in the room with paper cups and wooden stirrers! Really? No in-room dining or room service. This is the stuff of budget accomodation, not the Flemings I had experienced in the past. Overall I was very disappointed with the lack of service and services. This hotel was a gem. Not any more. The reduction in services should be matched by a reduction in price. As it is, the hotel is way overpriced for what it offers. I had previously recommended this hotel to others. Never again. I made a request for a double bed, rather than two singles pushed together. My request was not met nor was there any communication in relation to same. In my opinion the hotel has gone backwards. There are many other hotels nearby that offer far more for the the same price. I’m not likely to stay there again and I will not be recommending it to family and friends."

I was in room 611, it was a duplex room type, first I was worried about using of toilet at night which I should come down to the 1st floor but this duplex room providing a small toilet beside my bed, very convenient. "the self-check-in appears to be an issue for some people however the staff has been exceptionally friendly and helpful, so the 3/5 only applies for the self-check-in, not for the employees, they're 5/5. Still, an old-school check-in counter would've been a nicer and smoother experience, in addition it didn't feel like it did save any time for the guest. What i really loved was that I was able to open a window in my room and didn't have to rely on an air condition. Great breakfast!"

"I had a beautiful and pleasant day at Flemings! it all started with the front desk as I checked in, Maro was extremely pleasant, professional, and helpful with all the information that I needed to know. The other stuff (don’t remember their names) had a positive attitude and we’re ready to answer any questions. The young lady at the bar at night was very pleasant and helpful as well! The location is excellent, it’s only a few steps from Munich main train station, five minutes from Karlsplatz, and about 15 to 20 minutes walk from Marienplatz (if you prefer to walk and that happen, the tram or Metro). "The hotel has an innovative suite at the top floor, the two-level suite makes it very spacious and comfortable. The closeness to the transit hub for all public transportation makes the location very convenient. However, the suite has a shower with all glass wall (see-through) which makes it unusable for a family with children. Also, the lack of chairs (only one) in the suite causes inconvenience. On the plus side, the complimentary mini bar (fully stocked with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages) and chocolate / pastries are much appreciated by the guests. If the authorities convert the shower walls to frosted glass and add one more chair to the suit, this hotel will get 5 stars from guests like me."

If I could have used my phone to check-in that would have been easier because then it would have pre-filled a lot of the required info. "Horrible and unsafe. Checked in and Checkout process was easy and Checkout is supposed to be at 12 noon the room service started knocking at the door from 9:30 am. Our train was at 12:47 and we specifically chose this hotel due to late checkout time. Few men from room service finally started barging inside the room starting 10 am. Despite explaining to them we are checking out they kept opening the door and walking into the room every 15 to 20 minutes. This incident took place 7 times in total. I will not feel safe to stay at this hotel if I was travelling alone and random people kept walking in the room multiple times. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone."

"The check-in without beeing welcomed by a real person wasn´t what I expect at a 4-stars-Hotel. I was completely lonesome in the lobby. After this first shock I couldn´t find the remote control of the TV in my room. I couldn´t find any number to call someone in the lobby. So I went there, I found a member of the hotel (he wasn´t yet in service) and I told him the problem. He promised to care for it - but still, when I left the hotel after one night, I didn´t have the remote control, so I couldn´t use the TV during my stay. This was a pity, because I really wanted to enjoy my stay, because I have a family and I can´t travel on my own very often. So I was really disappointed about this unpersonal hotel. Also the matress was quite smooth, but this wasn´t as bad as the lacking TV and the check-in counter in the lobby!"

"This marked our second visit to your hotel, and we fondly reminisced about our wonderful stay five years ago. However, our recent experience left us with mixed feelings. We booked two suites for ourselves and other family members ( December 1-6 & 1-10) this past week. While we understand the necessity for a contactless check-in process due to COVID, it was disheartening that it took a staggering amount of time for six rooms to complete the check-in procedure. This delay struck us as absurd and left a noticeable dent in our overall impression. The rooms, reminiscent of our previous visit, were as remembered. Unfortunately, our suite was missing a bathrobe, and we noticed the absence of slippers – perhaps a change in amenities that wasn't communicated. Small details, but they contributed to a less-than-ideal experience. Our disappointment continued during breakfast service. The waitstaff appeared indifferent, almost avoiding eye contact when taking orders. However, it seems perhaps another guest filed a complaint, as service marginally improved as our stay progressed. In summary, while your hotel boasts a good location and generally comfortable accommodations, the extended check-in process and initially lackluster service leave us contemplating alternatives for our next stay. We hope this feedback helps in addressing areas that could enhance the overall guest experience."

"The self service checkin does not work without guidance from staff so what is the point if it. My room was not cleaned during my stay Thursday to Sunday at all. No towels or toilet roll offered. We needed ti stay extra due to cancellation of flights and the process of extending was painful and left entirely up to us with no support or assistance provided by staff. "Unfriendly staff at check-in…told us it would be €20 extra if we wanted to check in 45 minutes early. I don’t think €20 is worth a bad first impression. Didn’t like the self check in and having to type everything already in our reservation out, while the unfriendly staff just stood there and watched us. The extra bed for our daughter was not in the first room we were given. And it was not set up in the second room we were moved to. Had to wait for it to be set up when we just wanted to put our daughter to bed because it was late. Very dusty furniture in our room, gave the impression that the room was not too clean. Finally, there was a man throwing up in the lobby when we left, which was awful to see. Overall, very disappointing experience."

"Overall, this is a good hotel. I have stayed at the Flemings before. I like the people who work at Flemings. Very nice people. There are two things I was not happy with. The automated check in was slow and asked for quite a bit of info. Especially after a 12+ hour flight. The second was maintenance. My room had an electrical outage and took about an hour to fix. Seems maintenance took their time. In the spa, the showers are hard to adjust the temperature. Overall, maintenance seems to be slipping. But again, if I emphasize the positive--people who work in the breakfast area and also at the office are very nice and pleasant."

"I really liked the design and the feeling of being there was very pleasant and warm. The room was rather cold, I've been to hotels where I would die because it's too warm, this was a bit too cold personally. Also, the bathroom was rather dark, which isn't ideal when you're putting makeup on. "We arrived quite late, on a very wet night. The lady, on the reception, helped us to checkin. We were nicely surprised that the lady had upgraded us to a much bigger room. It was very spacious with a separate bedroom to our main room. I would certainly stay in a Flemings hotel again."

"Overall the hotel was ok. Very good breakfast. A bathroom with a glass wall - a big mistake. A bathroom with a glass wall in the room is a good idea for a young couple. Not for a business trip with a colleague from the company. You should think about covering/painting this wall as soon as possible."

"Very nice hotel, Clean, friendly and comfortable. Not the nicest area of Munich, however only 2 minutes from the main station in Munich - the hub for local travel, as well as travel further afield. And 15 minute walk to the old town."
