Next public transport stop: Nordfriedhof.

From the airport:
Take suburban line S8 heading towards Herrsching and leave at stop Marienplatz. Change to subway line U6 heading towards Garching Forschungszentrum/Fröttmaning and get off at stop Nordfriedhof. Leave the station opposite to the direction of travel, go right at the exit, and after 50 metres you will find the entrance to the Pullman Munich Hotel on the left-hand side of Fritz-Hommel-Weg pedestrian area.

From the main train station (Hauptbahnhof München):
Take a suburban train (lines S1 to S8) to Marienplatz stop. Change to subway line U6 heading towards Garching Forschungszentrum/Fröttmaning and leave at Nordfriedhof stop. Leave opposite to the direction of travel, go right at the exit. After 50 metres you will find the entrance to the Pullman Munich Hotel on the left-hand side of Fritz-Hommel-Weg pedestrian area.

"I have stayed at the Pullman several times over the past (20) years. I stayed there even before it was known as the Pullman. It is a quiet comfortable place to stay that is on the Ubahn U2 line that can take you to Marienplatz (where the Glockenspiel/Rathaus is located) and around the corner from the Lufthansa Express Bus to/from the Munich airport."

"We found that the room was not the cleanest (see attached photos, garbage can, shower head holder, etc.). The biggest surprise for us was when we returned to the room on the first evening, we closed the curtains and what a surprise to see that it was simply impossible to close the curtains completely, I'll let you imagine from the attached photo the light in the room in the early morning... Someone came to check and offered us a new room... at 10.00 pm... my daughter had already fallen asleep and it was impossible to do this (the room offered was 474... the one next to the elevators, having travelled there for many years, these are the rooms to avoid and you know it better than I do...). When we returned on the second day, we were surprised to find that after leaving the room from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m... nothing had been done or repaired (I think we needed a step stool to solve the problem, a little strength to clip the plastic parts out of the rail or to change them, but above all courage and a sense of service... which at first sight is not the hallmark of this establishment!) When I returned on the second day, what a surprise it was that after leaving the room from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m... nothing had been done or repaired (I think I needed a step stool to solve the problem, a little strength to clip the plastic parts out of the track or to change them, but above all courage and a sense of service... which at first sight is not the hallmark of this establishment!) In order to gain in darkness for the next day, I decided to place a clamp on the upper part of the curtain... and when I moved the lamp connected to the mains... it blew the fuse, total darkness... I had to go back down to reception and wait for 25 minutes before someone could come and turn the power back on. Would we be running a safety risk? And if my daughter had touched that lamp, could she have been electrocuted? Not to mention that, for the price of the room, the coffee pods (carte d'or, not nespresso ;-) had not been replaced for the second day, a poor saving for guests who were already very dissatisfied... And it was only as we were leaving that we realized that the extra bed for our daughter had no undersheet, no protection, on a mattress that was more or less clean (see attached photos). For a so-called "top-of-the-range" hotel as you sell it on your website, it's a disgrace"

"On check in I swiped my cheque card and the machine said the transaction was decline, but the money went off my account. I then swiped my credit card and a hold was placed on my credit card for the amount. So, I paid double. For a week while I stayed there I tried to sort out the double payment. When I checked out, I was told the hold and release of my credit card is not working and I had to go and draw money to pay the account. A few days after my checkout, after I mailed you, only then was the lock on my credit card released. We were several people that stayed at your hotel and we all had problems checking out. Some of us were over charged too. Your check in and check out is really bad! BMW has always been a loyal customer of Pullman, but we as employees of BMW did not have a good experience with our stay with you. Some of us received our 5 euro for rooms not cleaned and others did not. I had a table on my balcony, but no chair, so I could not even sit on my balcony."

"For two nights housekeeping failed to reattach the soap bottle by the sink and one bottle of the body soap was never replaced in the shower. Told the front office person when checking out. She didn't seem to care at all - not even an apology. I have stayed at the Pullman for over ten years but the past two years after Covid, the quality level across the board has deteriorated. Unfortunately, may start to look for another hotel to stay at when in Munich going forward. The only good thing about the Pullman is the location at this point..."

However, the unfortunate thing is, The spacing between tables in the breakfast restaurant was very narrow and it looked like a market, making it very inconvenient to use. "Wanted to impress my wife during a romantic weekend however from our arrival we just got unfortunate issues. Poor welcome at the reception (being Platinum didn’t help to get any benefits). Nobody to assist at the Spa. The steam bath didn’t work the entire weekend (no technical support available). Our superior Suite didn’t have any warm water. Suite was changed but it took the hotel until 22h30 to organize the sofa bed for our child. The breakfast was ok but by far below any Pullman hotels in France! Our General stay was just ok but I felt disappointed as the hotel staff could not help much during the weekend. We had a good time in Munich fortunately! We will not come back."

"I am regular customer of Pullman Munich and in the past have stayed here minimum 2 times a year when I visit Munich on business . This time I found that the service standards have fallen due to the following reasons 1) On checking in I found the iron in the room to have a panel missing with all wires exposed . This appliance posed a potential risk for an electric shock. So I called up reception and asked them to send me for a replacement iron. I had to call up 2 times before they finally sent me one after 4 hours. 2) On last day I asked the reception for an extension of just 1 hour . They refused it saying that the hotel was full and I had to check-out at 12 noon and that they could not grant me any extension. Considering that I am an Accor Silver member and that I already had spent 5 nights in the hotel during this stay I thought they could have easily accommodated my request and extended my check out time from 12 noon to 1 pm on the last day . However they refused to even grant me even 30 min of extension. I guess they are well within their right to refuse guests any extension of check out time . Similarly as a customer I have the choice not to stay at Pullman Munich again! I will choose a another hotel eg Marriott which is close by."

"On the plus side, very convenient location for those arriving from the airport and for travelling into the city on the Ubahn. Comfortable quiet room (except for taxi drivers chatting outside our window early in the morning!), well equipped. Comfortable beds. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. On the negative side, we could not get the TV to function. In the end we decided that we didn’t require it so didn’t seek help; More annoying was the inability to provide a blanket. I had emailed the hotel before our arrival to find out if blankets are available. I was told that they are. We asked for one at check in but were told that housekeeping had left for the day. Next morning we requested a blanket via the front desk-it never arrived. This frankly is not good enough."

"I had a pleasant stay overall but it did get noise in the courtyard on some nights which was a bit of an annoyance. The hotel is well located within access to the public transport which make it very convenient for guests to travel and experience Munich. "First stay was good, a week later I had a booking for 7 days, I asked the receptionist to split my bill from my wife's bill because of my company's policy, she said she could not do it and ask the manager on duty, and she say the same. The stay before they could do it, so I don't understand. Both bookings were made the same way. I left and stayed in the Marriot hotel with no problems. None of the people were friendly, they don't even smile, I felt uncomfortable as if they don't want to help me."

"First visit since 2019 but overall a pleasant experience. Giving the occupancy rate for a very large show at the MOC, it would have been nice to see the bar open earlier in the day - though the service in the bar was exceptional as always. Where the stay was seriously let down was by Luca on the reception. I came to settle my bill hours before the check out time to avoid the rush. Apparently this wasn’t appreciated and I was told to come back later. I didn’t do that as it didn’t fit my my schedule, and I was treated extremely rudely. I don’t expect anything other than a bit of courtesy and manners but was given much less. Considering I had five rooms booked for staff, it’s definitely got me considering other options next year."
