"I was here for the second time, it's a very nice hotel at a good location for Munich, where you can go via public ground transportation in a few minutes into the center of the city. The friendly concierge is open 24/7, the checkin and checkout easy and fast. The rooms are very clean as the all over hotel is. Car parking is available and in wintertime a good idea, as at my stay it snowed heavily. The only thing I found are minorities like hooks at the entrance of the room for the coat and hooks in the bathroom for the towels. Make sure to book the optional breakfast, it's a blast!"

"I had a pleasant experience while staying at Ibis Muenchen City West. The check-in process was smooth and the staff were friendly and very helpful in accommodating our needs. The room was clean and cozy. I love the fresh smell throughout the corridor going to the room. The selection and the taste of breakfast was good but I wish it vary a little between one day to another so it does not get boring for someone who is staying for more than 2 days. The change does not have to be big. It could perhaps changing one item in the desert section or the vegetable section or any other part just to have more excitement. As for the location, it was very convenient. It is located right next to the U-Bahn station and only 4 stops away from the main central station. The hotel was also accessible by bus and tram."

"I felt very comfortable and relaxed at this hotel. The room was clean and well arranged. I especially liked the breakfast (it's a very important part of the stay for me and Ibis never disappoints) - variety of choices, fresh produce, well seasoned food. I chose this particular hotel because of it's location, it suited my plans perfectly, but in case someone is having doubts because this hotel is further from the city center, just know that it is right next to a metro stop - you can easily get to any place that you need. There are also several grocery stores around the corner. Overall, I'm glad I chose this hotel."

"The room was super clean and well organized. There were enough towels and consumables for the duration of the stay. The breakfast was very well composed with everything you could imagine. "The shower head in our room was broken (the "holding mechanism" was broken). I reported this to the front desk and the answer was that no technician is available in the weekend. The reception guy told us that he will try to fix it himself OR move us to a different room. Unfortunately the shower was never fixed and we were never moved to another room."

"Whilst I understand prices increase during Oktoberfest, this was very overpriced for a standard hotel. Facilities were pared back for a minimalist experience (eg only one towel per guest - no hand towel; no tissues supplied in the room; shower gel had to double for shampoo, etc). On the plus side, it was clean, in a great position for public transport (bus, tram & U-bahn), breakfast was good and there was a bar in the lobby."

"Stayed 3 nights for Oktoberfest 2024, great location to train station and only 2 stops to Oktoberfest location. Great gas station next door we utilized for breakfast, coffee, alcohol, and gas for the car. Check in easy and helpful with items we forgot and giving info on traveling to Oktoberfest. Street parking ended up being free so didn’t pay for on site parking."

"Comparing to my last stay in Ibis London or other stay in ibis, the room in ibis Muenchen City West was far from any other ibis, let alone the ibis rooms in Asian countries. The room was very basic with bed and TV only where all the TV channels were locals, no extra pillow, no kettle, and no instant coffee/ tea. The hardest part was the room was not soundproof, and I could hear my neighbour snoring throughout the night. Not to mention the website information was quite a clickbait informing booking through app will get additional discount as member, and it wasn't."

"I primarily picked this hotel because air conditioning was one of the features. But they had chosen to turn off the air conditioning systems for the whole building. The weather was nice enough outside, but the room was warm so you must sleep with the window open. So you had to sleep with all the noise from traffic outside. Also bathroom was very small. It was the size of an airplane lavatory with a shower added to the side. Not worth the money."

"The staff were mostly helpful and nice but a few issues needs to be pointed out. 1 - Seems like there was a leak somewhere on the corridor, there was a trolley e other equipments blocking the way. Big health and safety hazard. 2 - Not sure if it was related to the apparent leak but the entire 4th floor was smelling really bad. Felt like a good hoover and some carpet cleaner would fix it. 3 - The room when I walked in seemed pretty good but all changed when I walked in the bathroom. Both liquid soap bottles were empty, our towels had stains(one even had a hole), the shower was DISGUSTING, hairs and dirt marks everywhere, the toilet seat also had some human hairs. I had to run to a supermarket nearby to get some cleaning products to feel safe to shower. 4 - Check out is at 12pm but the cleaner was knocking on my door almost an hour before. He knocked again 11:45am and I had to tell him to stop. In sum up, if there was someone managing the business properly to keep an eye on the service provided, all of the issues mentioned above could have been avoided. I always stay at a hotel from the Accor family but this was the very first time I had a bad experience."

"Unfortunately we had quite a sub-par experience this weekend. We arrived at the hotel to a funky smell in the corridors, we (2 people) then arrived to the room to only one large towel between us. We went down to reception to get 3 more towels (one for hair and one for body each) to be questioned by the guy on reception “why do you need 3? You surely don’t need three towels?”. We then went to get in the shower to find the combined shower gel/shampoo bottle completely empty, so we had to go back down again. We stayed for three nights and the cleaner never bothered replacing the empty bottle, just left the bottle we got from reception on the ledge. Not good at all. The only positive was the location being next door to a 24hr shop and right by the U-Bahn entrance."

"We stayed a couple of nights for a visit to Munich. The hotel was very close to a subway station, which made it convenient to get around Munich. While our room was small, it was clean, but a little musty-smelling. Bed comfort was so-so. We did not eat at the hotel. Staff were very pleasant and helpful."

"Hotel booked for months so found it strange no double room available. On check in we were charged for breakfast despite my protestations to assistant that our rate included breakfast. Was told no rates were ever given including breakfast. Later recovered my booking via email to confirm rate included breakfast. "the staff works at the bar and reception although they obviously have a bad cold. the beds are worn out and uncomfortable. the mattress is 5cm foam. the pillows are not usable, the filling was almost non-existent, a cotton pad would have been a firmer and more usable pillow. the wifi doesn't work at all on the 1st floor. the street noise is clearly audible even with the windows closed. the bathrooms are plastic cubicles similar to bathrooms in airplanes. breakfast prices are absurd. for a third of the price it would be just about acceptable, so it was an absolute cheek. For less money you can get much better rooms at the competition."

"The hotel is literally in front of the U-Bahn exit with immediate access to central station, shopping and sightseeing areas and airport (via Stachus). My room on the 3rd floor was surprisingly quiet, the shower surprisingly large, it was possible to open the window for some fresh air and there is a large Edeka supermarket around the block. The staff are friendly and attentive, the breakfast is good. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Obviously, there is a busy main road just outside and it's a lively affordable central area so don't go for your honeymoon, but for my 3 days city trip it was PERFECT. ;-)"
