"The truth to be said saving over EUR 20 or 30 a night isn’t worth it. There are so many choices around Muchen HBF and this can be filtered out from your choices. Room sound proofing was terrible, we hear traffic every night and construction starting early morning right outside the hotel. The room while adequate was generally dark and pillow too small & soft and bed too “solid”. Service was generally terrible and we felt like criminal walking through the front lobby when returning even though we greeted the staff hello each night we came back.. she was on her earphone and probably did not hear us but return our friendliness with a standard glare. Despite belonging to an international hotel chain, the staff clearly lack service standard when we wanted to exchange fresh towels (per hotel staff we were to bring down ours to hotel reception every 2nd night ourselves) we were asked to wait, and for 3 customer who came in the check in and for enquiry despite being just behind the first customer. Such lack of prioritization shows lack of training of SOP. Overall this one is forgettable option in a highly competitive area."

"We recently stayed at a hotel conveniently located near the train station, making it very easy to travel around. The room was cozy and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. However, there were a few downsides. The room was quite noisy, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. The pillow was uncomfortable, which further impacted my ability to rest. Additionally, the bathroom door was broken, and there were some insects or bugs in the room. I was particularly disappointed about the insects and had hoped for some form of compensation, but the staff only offered an apology without any further resolution. Overall, while the location and staff were great. Cleanliness were quite disappointing."

"The apartment was adequate and just a short walk from train station (5 min) and many city features (10-15 min). Staff were not very welcoming, room safe didn’t work: we were offered a change of room the next day but staff didn’t organise this. We asked x3 for a dustpan and brush to clean up dirt from our shoes; we were told they would send housekeeping but no one came. A staff member mistakenly entered our room one evening as she thought our room was vacant. We were unable to operate the washing machine so reception staff instructed us to use a laundromat down the street; however the lovely manager then took the time to show me how to use the machine and waived the cost of the washing. This lovely manager was a shining star amongst otherwise indifferent and unhelpful staff. Very disappointing given the cost and previous great experiences with Accor hotels. One evening"

"It was a very underwhelming stay, with renovation work done on weekends and loud cleaning staff in the hallways doesn't exactly make for a relaxing holiday stay. Only had one friendly and "tried to be helpful" reception staff. The room is a good size and taking away all the other things, it would've been a good stay. Upon arrival the person training the reception lady was really stern and rude, she was the same lady that then didn't want to help me to get to a hospital. She just started helping someone else. 3days before my checkout I was in unbearable pain and had to WALK to hospital as my phone didn't work to call a taxi and I went to reception to ask for help and she just said. "no I don't understand prepaid phones". I was then hospitalized for 3 days. On my return to the hotel I asked if I can please get a late check out as I wasn't feeling well and only had a flight later that day. I was just told no. No explanation or options, nothing. Just a little bit of kindness or understanding goes a long way, we are all humans in the end and not just the money we spend."

"An overall good experience. The rooms were tidy and neat, employees kind and respectful. We were especially pleased with the option to have unlimited tea and coffee from the coffee machine in the lobby. The only negative side was that they weren't able to give us breakfast to go, even though the breakfast for the day was paid for; on that day we had to check out and leave early before the start of breakfast."

"LOCATION WAS GREAT. MOST OF THE EMPLOYEES WERE FRIENDLY AND RESPONSIVE. OUR SINK WAS CLOGGED FOR OUR FIRST NIGHT, BUT THEY TOOK CARE OF IT THE NEXT DAY. "Noisy room as the room is just in front of the road. Cooking is allowed but need to sign a declaration that if the fire alarm is activated, you need to pay a penalty (I think 750 eur). Was told that the fire sensor is sensitive and you need to open all windows. Cooking is so stressful in the room with fear that the fire alarm will be activated for no reason !"

"This is a very clean and modern hotel with friendly staff. The room had Air Conditioning and thus a hot weather August visit was more comfortable. Location was convenient for connection to transport. However, at no fault of the hotel's, the nearby Goethestrasse felt a little concerning to walk through later at night. It seems that the substantial amount of nearby redevelopment (numerous buildings being reconstructed) will over time wipe out the blight."

"The location is perfect, everything is clean, the pieces of furniture are modern, the hall is cute and you can buy some food, the staff is nice. However: -It can be difficult to cook, the smoke detectors are very sensitive. What’s the point in booking this kind of establishment if you’ll not be able to cook? -I saw 2 cockroaches during my stay (coming probably from the building beside which was being demolished) but I was worried about the possibility to have this kind of insect in my suitcase and bring it back home."

"Few things that the hotel needs to work on - Being more communicative, should have told us at check-in that there is no housekeeping for <7 days - I asked reception to put towels in the room, they said they would. Came back at night but they had not. Called them next morning and new person at recpetion said we need to collect. I was like you could have said that yesterday as well when I asked at reception - No tea or coffee in the room, I asked the reception, they gave me a coffee pod but there was no coffee machine in the room - Curtains in the room need ironing, they just look as if someone has put a bedsheet on the window"

"We were greatly disappointed with the cleanliness standard of the room at check in and the hallway leading to the rooms. For the room: we were glad that it had all the amenities promised but the cleanliness of the walls and kitchen were dirty. The fridge had a very pungent smell, the kettle’s base had a green guey substance, the bathroom was not deep cleaned, the sink was stained, the shower cabinet had black residue at the edges, the bib was very dirty, the shower head was leaking. The walls of the room had pen markings next to the tv. The bed was a pull out bed which was a bit wobbly at times. I had a sick toddler who needed constant entertainment, however the in-room entertainment worked more often than not, especially youtube."

"I have been a Platinum Accor Plus member for many years and are well verse in what are my entitlement on my hotel stay. I was book in to your hotel for 2 rooms 2 night and upon check in nothing was mention about upgrading and free breakfast. My room 502 was charge with 2 breakfast upon check out and when I insist that been a Platinum Accor Plus member I am entitled for breakfast but the reception insist that I have to pay for it. I immediately check with Asia Pacific office in KL on my complain and my entitlement. It is confirm that Adagio is indeed in the list that will honour the free breakfast. Your reception doesn't seem to know what are the member entitle but just insist me to pay up. I am annoyed and disappointed with your staff services. I hope you will refund me the same amount"

"Room is a bit tight given we booked for family room with a kitchen. We bumped to each other more often than not. Cleanliness of the room could be improved provided this is part of Accor Group, we observed dust at most of the corners in the apartment. Would we stay here again in the future? Uummmm not sure, we might, but we would certainly look at other options where they might offer similar range of price with better facilities. However the service of the Aparthotel is is one of the best in town and seriouslyimpeccable."

"It was a very bad experience. The hotel is very old and when checking in they make you sign paper accepting fees in case of smoke... the whole hotel smells of cigarettes. AC is noise and the worst part is there was no breakfast on Feb 9th even if you were charged for that. The option the lady from the front desk gave me was to pick something and she would prepare it in the kitchen (wth????)."

"Very disappointed with how the hotel had handled smoke alarm incidents. Apparently this is not the first and definitely not the last time smoke alarm had been falsely triggered in this hotel. Multiple false triggering did not prompt and viable improvements or solution. Which meant guests will have to bear the full costs every time the alarm goes off (750euro). The suggestion to open windows and kitchen cooker extraction hood every time when you take a hot bath/ shower is ridiculous. Opening windows or turning on exhaust hood in kitchen meant this is a serious flaw in the air circulation. Imagine asking your guest to open the windows in winter when taking a hot shower. Therefore accor chain of hotels has lost my business and those of my associate's, as i have bear the full cost for their flawed air circulation, which I do not want others to fall into the same trap."
