"I felt the room was cold & could not adjust the fan and heating settings. Also, there was no hook (haken) to hang the wet bath towel - it seems to have not been replaced after it was removed/came off. On my second day I noticed that the bathroom was smelling - the water drainage point in the bathroom floor was uncovered."

"We had booked three rooms for our family vacation, believing the location was ideal—extremely close to the BMW museum, Nymphenburg castle, and the city center. However, the amenities were far from average, even for an IBIS. There were no tea cups or a kettle in any of the rooms, and the heating was non-existent, leaving the temperature only a few degrees higher than outside. To make matters worse, the telephone in one of the rooms was dead. To get the number to call reception, I had to make a trip to the reception desk. When I asked for the number, the staff member provided it but kept repeating it, despite my pointing out that there were no numbers indicated on the phone. This lack of understanding and unwillingness to assist made the situation frustrating. To sum up, the attitude of some of the staff was highly undesirable and unprofessional. There were no greetings or smiles, and when I tried to explain the issue with the telephone, they simply repeated the number without any further understanding. It was clear that the lack of hospitality was evident among some of the staff members."

"For a room surely designed for business travellers, the singular location of a socket next to the bathroom door, about as far away from the desk as possible, seemed completely unreasonable. To work at my laptop, I needed to move a chair across the room and use it as a desk while I sat on the bed. The scraped paint on the wall in this location spoke of countless other travellers who had been required to make the same ludicrous compromise. The room also comes without a kettle, forcing guests to journey downstairs and pay for their coffee in the morning. Staff at the hotel are lovely but this does not compensate for lazy and inconvenient design features that inhibit comfortable business travel."

"We were very disappointed and displeased with the way Patrick was treated. He was forced to pay over 700 euro for a room, which was a mistake made on your behalf and humiliated by the night receptionist in front of other guests. In my experience this could of been handled with more professionalism. This brought a lot of stress upon Patrick and because of this almost ruined his experience in München."

"My experience was good but i will not say it was great. The breakfast options were a bit limited and not may vegetarian options or substitute. The waffle maker was one plus. I would have expected that for the amount I paid there should have been a fridge in my room. The bed was also not the most comfy, a bit too soft and I had to double the pillows to get a nice sleep. In all I was satisfied cause some of the attendants for were nice."

"I checked in on Monday afternoon, and immediately noticed a musty smell in room 2109 which had been covered up with some kind of perfume. I opened the windows, and slept the night in that room, hoping that the smell would go away. Not only did the smell not go away, but I woke up in the middle of the night with a sharp headache and the need to walk outside to get some fresh air. That night I was going to ask the man at the front desk if I could change rooms, but he was watching videos on his phone, and didn't seem very friendly. So, I waited until around 8am on Tuesday to ask if I could switch rooms. The man at the front desk was very helpful and switched me to room 2104. Immediately upon moving my things to this room, I noticed the same musty smell and the same smell of perfume which had been used to cover it up. I knew that I would not be able to last a whole week in this room. So I went to the front desk and asked for a second room change, to a different floor of the building. This time, he placed me in room 2411, which thankfully did not have the musty smell or the cover-up smell. I finally got some rest without having a headache when I woke up. The rest of my stay was nice, except for the fact that the shower head in room 2411 is broken. The ring does not stay attached to the post, so the shower head needs to be constantly held in one hand in order to take a shower. These issues combined overall left me with a bad impression of my stay there."

"My room number was 2703, and i went there and it was smelly, then i came down and inform the front desk and left for office . Came back in the evening the room smell which is heavily with carpet clogged water or old socks smell is now replaced with another room spray smell. Which was choking me. I went down and asked for another room and 2203 was given and then that room has same smell, any ways somehow I spend the night and early morning left the hotel."

"The hotel itself was fine, the bed was comfortable but we had to remove a sheet as there was hair and snobs on the sheet. The duvet was comfortable. The room was dusty and hadnt really been fully cleaned however as we were only using it as a base we didnt mind so much as it was trivial things like a poo stain in the toilet, hair in the shower etc. We spoke to a lovely woman at reception I cant remember her name but she was Ukrainian and she helped us so much. The other members of staff were not as helpful and quite rude. we both agreed we wouldnt stay at this Ibis again and are reluctant to stay at any others now due to the experience. Munich itself is beautiful and the hotel was only slightly further out of Odeonsplatz and Marienplatz. The city is lovely but this hotel is in dire need of a facelift and some new staff aswell"

"The room was very clean, a bit small but I was not spending much time there. It was missing maybe the basic of utilities: tissues, and kettle with coffee/tea. Toilet paper was super thin, not very good quality. Shower gel was alright, shower was spacious, a bit uneasy to handle the hot/cold water but not drastically so managed ok. The room was really hot and air conditioning was not working. Didn't sleep well first until I opened the windows the next days - even though during the night i was closing them for noise and the room was getting hot again but cooler from having had the windows opened (Room 2914). Breakfast was good. Several choices, good quality - maybe the hot food was not on the most practical side to reach - but i think there was for everybody, and space to seat. I enjoyed the breakfast. Staff was nice, polite and helpful. The location was very good to get to the offices I needed to go (5mn walk). It was quite quiet, couldn't hear the other rooms, slightly the doors in the corridor but otherwise quite peaceful and felt safe."

"I had a very nice stay in the ibis hotel Parkstadt Schwabing. The room had a decent size, was well cleaned, it was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. One has to get used to the split of small toilet and actual bathroom within the room. For me it wasn’t easy to use the mixer tap in the shower. So the water felt like it was either boiling hot or ice cold. The complimentary water was a good idea - better to be offered with a bottle opener together. Or to use bottles with a twist cap. There is a gym - though a bit tiny."

"Hi, the hotel was ok, the room clean and with no noise(very appreciated ) The low rate is because of the breakfast: i asked during the booking stage to have a breakfast with gluten free products..And i was really surprise to see only two pieces of gluten free bread... The hotel doesn't have the toast machine!!! so where we can warm up the bread?? The woman at the kitchen was very kind and we tried to use the microwave.. but the result was bad... and the day after she use the oven. I'm really surprised to see Ibis Hotel without gluten free product: nowadays there are a lot of people that have problems and it should be normal to have also these kind of product!"

"From 2 stars hotel I would expect something more than place to sleep. There are literally nothing in the room – no sleepers, no sewing kit, no hygiene kit... The kitchen was closed in the evening and we had to go for shopping to Rewe, which is nearby. Positive - you have renovated rooms and bathrooms. At least my looks like that."

"The lobby area is nice enough and the staff are good. The rooms are basic to the point of being unpleasant. The bathroom space is a kind of strange plastic box in the corner suggestive of staying in a prison. This goes beyond a "no frills" basics, and embraces a kind of "crappy plastic rubbish". Somehow the rooms also never felt quite comfortable. Perhaps the air is very dry? I slept extremely badly every single night though and usually woke many times."

"I visited the hotel for the first time last year and I honestly don't know what happened, but this year it seemed a bit worse. Out of the four days/three nights, one day room service didn't clean our room at all. Plus there were only 2 towels available so it wasn't entirely pleasant. The other big minus I see is the closing or slamming of the rooms. Since the doors are rather massive and there is no slowing barrier so every time the door closes/slamming, the sound can be heard not only on the whole floor but also in all the rooms as the walls are not sufficiently insulated."
