The LOUIS Hotel was opened in September 2009 after almost two years of construction. Munich architects Hild and K. adapted the over 100-year-old building to the rapidly progressing architectural change in the centre of Munich, which meets the demands of the old town, but also the requirements of contemporary building.
The architects have designed a modern, clearly structured facade featuring French balconies in front of the windows. This concept draws inspiration from the design of the buildings surrounding the market and takes into account the unique surroundings—nestled between the Baroque appearance of the St. Peter’s Church Rectory and the Kustermann House with its 1950s reconstruction facade.
In the heart of downtown Munich, right next to the world-famous Viktualienmarkt, stands an oasis of tranquility, offering all the amenities and benefits of a prime location. 72 stylishly designed rooms, featuring handcrafted furniture made from natural materials and innovative design, quickly transport you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and invite you to relax and unwind.
