"Lots of stairs making it impossible for strollers with baby to navigate. I have asked for additional bedding for baby but was able to get just a blanked available in the closed. It worked. There was nobody to help with caring stuff. I have asked from the kitchen a spunge to clean the bottle for the baby but they replay they do not have extra. It was Sunday and I could not buy any. On the positive side location is perfect, it was super clean."

"Great location, room is pretty standard for it's category however... The room is street level, people walking past on the street can literally see right into your room and The curtains are white and not black out. Because of this the room is completely light during the day and by night it's pretty bright. You see the white front lights and the rear red lights of cars as they drive past on the road. You even wonder if a car will come through the window at night..."

"We enjoyed our stay at your hotel. The location was wonderful as we could easily access the Marienplatz, transportation, restaurants very easily by walking. The breakfast staff was wonderful! They were contantly replacing food items as they were depleted, cleaning tables and very helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious! We had the comfort double room amd it was comfortable. Our only issue was the angled ceilings. We were constantly bumping our heads until we adapted by “ducking” our heads to avoid a collision! We tried to change rooms but we needed to wait 3 days for an available room, which we u derstood, but just opted to stay where we were. The other issue were the pillow cases; the pillows were very slippery so the cases opening on the longer side, kept sliding off and we would be sleeping on the bare pillow. The other issue, again for us, were the 2 separate coverlets. We tend to toss and turn and our covers would be pulled up so our feet were uncovered or our backs were incovered. We would wake ip feeling chilled as the smaller covers were off of us. Again, these were our issues, not necessarily a problem for anyone else. The water pressure in the shower was great and the water nice and hot. Our other thingwe really enjoyed was how quiet the hotel was. We very rarely even heard a door close of the neiboring rooms. We enjoyed the quiet in the evening. All in all, it was a very positive experience. Thank you! We enjoyed our time in Munich."

"Our second stay here. Rooms are well maintained and the location is very good for tourist sights. Most importantly, the staff is very nice, helpful, and pleasant! The only downside is, just like all hotels in Europe, depending on the year you might find the rooms too warm (air con is off now). Window opens for cooling but if there is a “party” down below, you will be part of it. Overall a very nice place."

"Our stay at Mercure Hotel Muenchen Altstadt was wonderful. The location was right in the old town area while still being tucked away in a quiet side street allowing for peaceful nights sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and modern, and the included breakfast buffet was huge. It placed us just 20 minutes walk from everything we wanted to see while also being a close walk to the main train station. I highly recommend the hotel for your next stay in Munich."

"This was our second time using a Mercure property (first was in Porto last year which was also great). We have been impressed with the quality of the front-desk staff...so helpful and pleasant. We also liked the modern room decor and high-quality full breakfast (which including lactose-free milk - yay!). We will always start with a Mercure search on future trips. (Only negative was the poor pillow quality...seriously.)"

"If you're looking for a place to stay with visiting Munich and/or Oktoberfest, look no further! This place had good size rooms, great breakfast + beverage selection, and easy walking distance to restaurants, bars, and main tourist attractions. We felt very safe and could walk around at night to visit different establishments, and enjoyed that even though we were close to those places the hotel was on a quiet street so we could get some much needed rest. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially if we needed a recommendation. I will absolutely be staying here during my next trip!"

"Our experience at the Muenchen Altstadt Mercure Hotel was awesome! Room is modern and clean, breakfast was great, staff was kind and helpful. Location is great! A few blocks from Marienplatz (which is not only a great touristical attraction but it also includes a large station that interconnects several U-bahn, S-bahn and tram lines). If not enough, hotel is also two or three blocks away from the main shopping street in downtown, home to lots of restaurants, bier and weinstubes, souvenir and large shopping malls/dept stores."

"Hotel is in a great location just off the Marienplatz. This was my second stay here due to this. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast room was nicely laid out and plenty of choice. Staff were helpful. Only downside was cost ! A huge price to pay considering that there is no bar, restaurant or recreational facilities, unlike many other nearby hotels for a similar price. That said i would still recommend the Mercure for, as mentioned, its central location and accessibility."

"Comfortable rooms and excellent service all within an easy walk to the sites in the heart of old town Munich. I must specifically note that the front desk staff (Angelica and Sabrina in particular) were very helpful for me since my luggage had been lost in my connection to getting to Munich. They spent the time with me calling various numbers trying to help me get answers, which was well above their duties. I very much appreciate everything they did for me, and their kindness in listening to me. The breakfast buffet had many tasty hot and cold choices, and specifically I enjoyed the full-sized pretzels. It was a nice touch to have coffee, tea, and water avaliable any time of day from the breakfast room."

"The location was perfect, just minutes away by foot to Marienplatz. The room was extremely clean and the people at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was fantastic, very fresh and well prepared. The added perk of having the complimentary mini-bar that was restocked each day was really a nice perk, along with the water and coffee station that were always available. My only negative was that the air conditioning did not seem to work, but the temps at night were cool enough to just sleep with the window open. It was a bit noisy outside, as the Euros were happening, so I think there were a lively bunch of people out and about. But I did not see this as a big enough negative to not rate this hotel stay a full 10. Very pleased with this hotel!"

"We have stayed here before so the hotel is familiar. The room prices nowadays tend to be high compared to quality in this hotel. Breakfast buffet is ok and you can have coffee/tea all day long fronm the breakfast room. Rooms are okayis although the pillows were pretty worn out and there was no extra pillow options either. The staff is reasonably friendly though as we came to the hotel at 13.00 o'clock the front dest staff member (pretty tight-minded) reminded us that the check-in time is no earlier than at 15.00 o'clock. On most days we stayed at hotel there was however many people who did get check-in earlier with no such comments. Also asking for late check-out (privilege with status) was a big problem and we got many complaints from the front desk staff saying that it is totally impossible and we must check-out by noon. However as we left the hotel around 15.00 o'clock after picking up the luggage the room cleaning process was still going on. Not giving out one late check-out as privilege sounds very unfriendly and very tight minded taking consideration that all the hotel rooms were not yet ready by 15.00 o'clock and it is very hard to believe that the hotel gets 100 % of all the new customers by 15.00 o'clock - especially as the earliest check-in time is 15.00 o'clock. Very tight minded indeed."

"Location is ok near Marienplatz. Breakfast was good and the staff at breakfast were awesome. Room is ok, bed was decently comfortable. There was only one small elevator for everyone to share, making waits at peak times long. The hallways were dim until you took several steps down the hall when the automatic lights kicked in. At checkout was emailed an opportunity to check out online, which I did because the desk clerk was busy "helping" some one. As I put my keys on the counter I told the lady NY room number, she very rudely told me I must wait and pay asif I was trying to skip. I had just used their service and I have given them my credit card info twice already. She was quite rude and I would probably not go back there again. This is my second time using an Accor hotel, I think I will stick to Marriott and Hilton in the future."
