Hotel Restaurant Alte Post

Our Hotel Alte Post is located in the middle of the island/Lindau in Lake Constance - exactly where it is most beautiful. Anyone staying at the Alte Post should feel comfortable and relaxed. Stylish details create a cozy atmosphere. All rooms are newly renovated and furnished in solid oak in a modern design, with elegant fabrics and colors. All rooms have new wooden floors. The hotel offers a beautiful roof terrace with a view of the old town on the 2nd floor, a beer garden terrace and a cozy restaurant. What the listed building unfortunately does not have: Elevator - balcony - lake view.

Take a seat at the beautifully laid table from 7:30 am to 10:00 am and enjoy the delicacies from the kitchen and the extensive breakfast buffet. Whether healthy, hearty or sweet - you're sure to find the right thing for you. Every morning (except Sundays) you will find the Lindau newspaper to read in the cozy breakfast room.

The restaurant and beer garden terrace offer traditional Styrian and Swabian, regional and seasonal cuisine. Cuisine is our passion. Our service lives hospitality. For over 30 years! Our restaurant is open daily.

From Lindau main station, walk approx. 650 m to our hotel - the path leads you into Ludwigstraße opposite the station. Follow this street straight ahead at the Michael Uhsemann antiquarian bookshop and automatically into Fischergasse. You will pass the Lindau Municipal Theater, Café Augustin and a small ice cream parlor before arriving at the hotel. Alternatively, take the city bus line 1 from the main train station to the "Maxhof" stop - from here you walk approx. 50 m back to the hotel.

By car, turn right into Zwanziger Straße at the first traffic circle on the island. After approx. 280 m, turn into the old town of Lindau - follow the road across the old school square to the market square. Turn right in front of the churches and follow this road for approx. 80 m; at Stiftsplatz the road continues to the right and at the Theater-Café turn left into Linggstraße, which you follow for approx. 80 m. Now turn left into Fischergasse and follow this street for approx. 220 m until you reach the hotel. Once here, you can unload your luggage. For parking, please use the public parking lots P4, P3 at Karl-Bever-Platz or P1 at Blauwiese.

We have reserved a place for you from the time of your registration/reservation.

Of course, it can happen that you are unable to come at the booked time.

Cancellations should be made in writing no later than 2 weeks before arrival. Later cancellations are only free of charge if the room is fully rebooked.

In case of non-occupancy we charge up to 80% of the booked stay. This also applies to late arrival or early departure.

If the booked vacation is only started late or not at all or has to be broken off early,

cancellation costs are added to the disappointment according to EU standards.

We recommend that you take out travel insurance.
