Located at the heart of Cologne's lively "Südstadt" the "Josefshaus" is housed in a former brotherly foundation. Here is awaiting you exciting interior design boasting impressive art works and much more besides. The stylishly appointed single rooms, double rooms and suites have that something special in the form of original sculptures - individually created by young artists from Munster's Art Academy. In the former chapel you can enjoy our rich breakfast buffet (additionally 13,00EUR), for your meetings a light-flooded, quiet conference room is available. The historic cellar houses shelters a wellness area with a Finnish Hemlock-sauna and premium fitness equipment. All public areas and the rooms have a free WIFI access.

Directions
The HOPPER Hotel St. Josef boasts a quiet yet easily accessible location in Cologne's »Südstadt«. A three-minute walk away in one direction takes you to the Rhine and the Rheinau Harbour while in the other to the popular Severinstrasse. This street takes you to the city centre, with the Cathedral, Old Town, WDR and main railway station all a 15-20 minute walk away. By car it is just 10 minutes to the Cologne Exhibition Centre or the university and 20 minutes to KölnBonn Airport. Public parking is available (distance approx. 500m). We recommend you to drive up to the hotel and park briefly in the loading bay or close by. Once you have checked in and dropped off your luggage we will explain you the best route to the multi-storey car park. The maximum rate per day is 24,00EUR. Please note that the inner city of Cologne is a low emission zone, which may not be entered by vehicles without an environmental badge.
Conditions/extras
On the day of arrival the rooms are available from 3:00 pm. We ask to leave the rooms by 12:00 noon on the day of departure. A light and quiet conference room offers space for up to 8 people. Equipped with modern technology, expert support and reasonable set rates every conference becomes a stimulating meeting. Located within these historic cellar walls once housing an infants' nursery school is our modern fitness and sauna area. A hemlock Finnish sauna (10,00 EUR), fitness equipment for healthy power and endurance training as well as space for restful relaxation are at your disposal. From 1881 the St. Josefshaus Foundation offered the children of mainly single mothers' educational support and up until just a few years ago it was still used for a range of different charitable purposes. Indeed, the point of departure for the art at the new HOPPER Hotel St. Josef was the Joseph sculpture: after a focus on painting and photography in our two other establishments the third HOPPER Hotel now offers art in the third dimension. Worth special attention is the lobby and bar area on the ground floor of the hotel that promises special appeal opening out as it does onto a leafy garden courtyard. Equally appealing is the hotel's own library with its open fire.
