Museum and Church Experiences
Description
In the new building opened in 2001 you will experience highlights of European painting. The museum has one of the most significant collections of medieval paintings, including outstanding works such as Stefan Lochner-s Madonna in the Rose Bower. Amongst others, rembrandt and rubens represent baroque painting. Exemplary for the 19th century are German romanticism and French realism. In the same year the museum reopened, it acquired the Fondation Corboud, which supplements the collection with an immense treasure of impressionist and neo-impressionist art.
