Museum and Church Experiences
Description
In the 11th century, one of this epoch-s most significant churches was realized on the site of the Roman Capitoline Temple. Abbess Ida of the Ottonian dynasty had the truly imperial structure erected. Its wooden Romanesque doors with scenes from the life of Christ stem from around 1065. After the devastating destruction in the Second World War, the church was reconstructed in its original forms.
