Description

This vacation rental offers access to a shared outdoor area with a garden and barbecue facilities. Public transport links are located within walking distance and there is a tennis court within a 15-minute walk. A cross-country skiing loop is conveniently located right in front of the house. A parking space is available on the property and free parking is available on the street. A maximum of 2 pets are allowed. Smoking and celebrating events are not allowed. Ski storage is available. This property has guidelines to help guests with the correct separation of waste. More information is provided on site. This property has light and water-saving features. This property features a convenient self check-in system. After booking, please completely fill out the Holidu contact form that will be sent to you by email, including your address. This will help the host to prepare your stay in the best possible way.

Check-in and check-out regulation

You can rent this house from Saturday to Saturday on a weekly basis. You may get into the house Saturdays from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. and you want to leave Saturdays before 11.00 a.m.. If you wish to stay from other weekdays on or to leave earlier or at another weekday you have to check while booking with an extra email request.

Directions

Schönwald is located between the cities of Triberg and Furtwangen. By coming form the north please drive the A5 from Karlsruhe to Basel and leave at the Exit Offenburg. Follow to Offenburg and leave to the B33 to Hornberg. Continue to drive the B500 to Triberg and in Triberg follow the B500 to Schönwald. When you are approaching Schönwald please take the first street to your left after the entrance sign of Schönwald into the Matthias Grünewald Straße. Our house is number 13 after 300 meters on the left hand side.
When you come from the south ( Basel ) please also use the A5 but leave to Freiburg Mitte ( centre ) - drive through Freiburg following the signs to Hinterzarten and Feldberg. Approaching Hinterzarten please take the B500 to Furtwangen / Triberg. After you drove through Furtwangen you will reach Schönwald after approx. 6 km. You drive through the village ( attention radar system - 30 km/h are allowed ) and shortly before the end of the village you turn right into the Matthias Grünewald Straße. Our house the the number 13 after 300 meters on your left hand side.
When coming form Stuttgart, Munich or the Lake Constance please use the A81 leaving exit number 34 Rottweil to Rottweil / Zimmer --> Schramberg. Please follow the signs to Villingen - Schwenningen Villingen ( you want to Villingen !!! ) - In Villingen follow the signs to Furtwangen or Unterkirnach. Drive to Unterkirnach and drive through the village follow the street to Schönwald. In Schönwald drive through the complete village ( attention radar system 30 km/h is allowed ) and turn right at the end of the village into the Matthias Grünewald Straße. Our house is on the left after 300 meters.
When going by train you want to go to Triberg Bahnhof. There a trains from Karlsruhe via Offenburg or from Konstanz via St. Georgen. From Triberg Bahnhof a bus is going to Schönwald - here you have to leave at "Auf dem Bühl" the first stop in Schönwald. Go left to the little supermarket and after 30 meters you reach the crossing into the Matthias Grünewald Straße. Enter Matthias Grünewald Straße - our house is after 300 meters on the left with house number 13.
When flying into Germany there a several possible airports. The closest international airport is Stuttgart ( 100 min ). Some international flights also go into Straßburg ( France - 90 min ). The airport Lahr is also pretty close ( 100 min ). While being in Schönwald a car helped you to move around. In wintertime you will need winter tires on your car and when it is snowing you will need snow chains for your car as the different heights between Schönwald and Triberg for example is 400 meters ! With summer tires you wont have a chance !

Tourist tax information

Tourist tax applies in Schönwald. Adult from age 16 on have to pay 2,50 € per day. Children age 6 to 15 pay 1,00 €. Children younger than 6 years are free.
