Short Characteristics

You will be living in a house which was remodeled in baroque style during 1715-1718 by the Dresden architect George Haase for George Merbelt, the court chef of August the Strong. It was heavily damaged on February 13, 1945, and thereafter totally torn down in 1956. In 2005, reconstruction work started with the archeological excavation of the site. The fully rebuilt building was finally completed in October of 2010 with a ceremonial opening. The rebuilt edifice was patterned on the original ground plans and the original materials used in the predecessor structure. The elevation plans of the facade prepared after 1945 by the Dresden Historic Monuments Office were also able to be used in the rebuilding work. The house stands in the Dresden Neumarkt reconstruction zone, in the immediate vicinity of the famous Frauenkirche church.   The fully furnished Maisonette apartments (about 70 m²) for up to 4 persons in the fourth or fifth floor have a small terrace. They own bath with shower or bath tub, built-in kitchen with stove, dishwasher and all necessary equipment for a pleasant stay as well as a comfortable sitting area with satellite TV. Bed linen and towels are all inclusive. The apartments are easily reached via elevator. Suitable for pets! Every morning fresh bread : It is possible a breakfast for € 7.90 / person take in the street level cafe. Say during the registration decision .

Our entrance is to be found at Salzgasse 8 across from the backside of the Albertinum.

Please note: The handing over of the key must be arranged by telephone prior to arrival.

We can be reached at our office phone number: 0351-496 51 54. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9:AM and 4:PM, and on Fridays from 9:AM to 2:PM.

Arrival outside the above-mentioned hours can also be arranged by agreement. For this purpose, call us at the latest 2 days before arrival so that we can make appropriate arrangements regarding the arrival time.

Departure time is 10AM.

Cancellation fee after be 100 % of the total price .
