Description

A day trip to Saxon Switzerland

Experience the diversity of the Dresden Elbe, the Elbe Valley and Saxon Switzerland on a boat trip between Dresden and Königstein or Bad Schandau.
Discover a dreamlike region, from bizarrely shaped rock formations to opulent vineyards and fascinating baroque castles to the unique skyline of Dresden. Enjoy priceless views of Dresden's city center with the Frauenkirche, the Semper Opera House and the Brühl Terrace. In addition, you can discover the beautiful Elbe castles and Pillnitz Palace and Park along the banks of the Elbe during the trip.

In Saxon Switzerland, the towns of Pirna, Wehlen and the spa town of Rathen as well as Königstein await you. Here you can admire the world-famous Königstein Fortress, which towers 250 meters above sea level and looks back on a history of more than 700 years. In the high season the line continues to Bad Schandau.

The boarding starts 15 minutes before the departure of the ship with free choice of seats on board.

The station Blasewitz is located directly at the Loschwitz Bridge, the "Blue Wonder" below the restaurant "Schillergarten" (downstream left). From here you can reach the Dresden funicular, the suspension railroad and the villa district Loschwitz.

station Pillnitz
The Pillnitz station is located with two moorings about 300 m from Pillnitz Palace, directly opposite the Elbe island Pillnitz or below the restaurant "Elbblick" (downstream right) - an ideal starting point for a visit to the palace, the park or a vineyard hike.

station Kurort Rathen
The station Kurort Rathen is located below the famous Bastei Bridge - right next to the pier of the ferry that connects both riverbanks (downstream right).
From here you have the perfect starting point for a hike to the famous Bastei or for a visit to the Felsenbühne Rathen. Or you can end a wonderful day of hiking with a relaxing boat trip on your way home.

station Königstein
