Short Characteristics

We look forward to welcoming you to our historic town house from the 18th century, which was rebuilt in 2010. It is the former home of court chef George Merbelt, who once cooked for the Saxon Elector and King of Poland, August the Strong. Let yourself be enchanted by the flair of the city center and our house.

We ask you to clarify any breakfast requests or arrangements directly with the owner, Mr. Ralf Müller, Dresdner Kaffeestübchen in the house on telephone: +49 1515 4846625.

Check in / Check out

Our entrance (Salzgasse 8) is opposite the back of the Albertinum.

Please register between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on your arrival day (Salzgasse 8 - opposite the Albertinum). You will find our name - Kulturstiftung Historisches Bürgerhaus on the bell sign at the entrance. We will then pick you up at the entrance and take you to your apartment and hand over the keys. For our internal planning, PLEASE let us know your approximate arrival time in advance (also via SMS) and we will make sure that we can coordinate the check-in personally and correctly to your arrival time if possible.

Experience has shown that there can always be delays. That's why we have placed a safe right at the front door where I can leave an envelope with a key and a few lines about the house for you. In this case, you will receive the code to open the safe from me via SMS to the cell phone number you provided, which means you are independent and do not have to wait in the event of possible delays.

When you arrive, you will receive your registration form, which we will ask you to fill out with your details (name, address, signature, etc.). We are obliged to report your data to the municipal tourism office.

On the day of departure, we ask you to leave your apartment by 10 a.m. so that the cleaning staff can start cleaning. When you leave, please drop the key in the mailbox of the Historischer Neumarkt/Kulturstiftung Historisches Bürgerhaus, as well as your registration form. Thank you!

Cancellation / payment conditions

The state capital Dresden charges an accommodation tax for all accommodation facilities. This will be collected on site and is not included in the booking price. Further information can be found at: hzzp://www.de/de/02/or/anlegen/beherbungssteuer d 115.php.

You will receive an invoice from us approximately one week in advance. All services are listed there. We ask you to pay this invoice by arrival.

Cancellations up to 14 days before the day of arrival are free of charge, cancellation costs after this period amount to 100% of the total price.
