Paula Modersohn-Becker (1876-1907) and Edvard Munch (1863-1944) are two exceptional figures in 20th-century painting. In their expressive paintings, they found innovative artistic answers to questions of their time that addressed life - from birth to death.

The ticket is valid for the special and all permanent exhibitions at the Albertinum.
From Caspar David Friedrich to Gerhard Richter and beyond - the broad horizon from the Romantic period to the present day, as well as the wonderful works of art in the collection, distinguish the Albertinum and make it one of the most important museums of its kind in Germany. In this house of modern art, you can experience masterpieces from the holdings of the Galerie Neue Meister and the Skulpturensammlung (Sculpture Collection from 1800 onwards), from Romanticism, Impressionism, Expressionism, New Objectivity, as well as GDR and contemporary art, on a guided tour.
