Excursion to Moritzburg and Meissen by bus
After the start, you will stop in Moritzburg to visit the castle and the beautiful pond and forest landscape.
Augustus the Strong, King of Poland and Elector of Saxony, had the representative hunting and pleasure palace built on the walls of a former Renaissance building.
You will then travel by bus to Meissen, a city with over 1000 years of history, a medieval townscape and fine porcelain. Together with a tour guide, you will explore the historic old town with its winding streets, the cathedral and the Albrechtsburg (external tours).
You will then visit the porcelain factory with the famous symbol of the blue swords.
Schedule:
9:00 a.m. Start at the Altmarkt, drive to Moritzburg
10:00 a.m. Guided tour of Moritzburg Castle in English, 1 hour
11:00 a.m. Walk around the castle + free time
12:00 p.m. Continue to Meissen
12:30 p.m. Individual lunch break in Meissen
1:30 p.m. City tour in Meissen
3:00 p.m. Visit to the porcelain factory with show workshops
5:00 p.m. Return to Dresden
6:00 p.m. End at the Altmarkt Dresden
