Experience the ascent of the Ludwig Monument! With 172 steps, an adventure awaits you that is rewarded with a breathtaking view over Darmstadt - from a height of 39.04 metres, you will discover the city from a new perspective. The monument honours Ludewig I, the first Grand Duke of Hesse and by Rhine, and is the city's landmark. During the tour, you will learn exciting stories about the history and significance of the monument as well as its connection to the city. Please don't be afraid of heights to enjoy the view to the full!

Duration: 60 minutes
Conditions/extras
A maximum of 15 people are allowed in the monument. Larger groups (max. 30) are divided into two groups. Each group can stay in the tower for 30 minutes, including ascent and descent. The group remaining on the ground learns interesting stories about the city.
There are 172 steps and you should not be claustrophobic.
