Description
Tour of the neoclassical church of St. Ludwig, built under the first Grand Duke of Hesse-Darmstadt.
It was designed by the architect Georg Moller, based on the grand model of the Roman Pantheon. The Catholic church houses the tombs of Prince Friedrich and Grand Duchess Mathilde, after whom the Mathildenhöhe artists' colony was once named.
