Description
Tour of the Mathildenhöhe with explanations of the history of the artists' colony founded in 1899. You will gain an impression of the entire ensemble: studio house, exhibition building and artists' houses. This is followed by a tour of the museum with an explanation of the works, ideals and ideas of members of the artists' colony as well as the history of the four major art exhibitions between 1901 and 1914. Meeting point: Infopoint Mathildenhöhe (Olbrichweg 10, h_da parking lot)* Duration: 120 minutes

The maximum group size is 25 people. *An individual meeting point is possible by arrangement. Important note: From October 1, 2024, the meeting point for all guided tours on the Mathildenhöhe is the north entrance of the Museum Künstlerkolonie Darmstadt, at Olbrichweg 13a. Our tip: Book your admission to the Museum Künstlerkolonie Darmstadt directly with us! Admission to the museum is EUR 3 per person. This price is only valid for groups (10 or more people). For smaller groups (up to 9 people) the regular admission price of 5,-EUR per person applies. Children and young people (up to the age of 18) as well as school classes have free admission. Without prior booking, admission must be paid directly on site!
