Description
“We have to build a city, a whole city.” – These words by architect Joseph Maria Olbrich have gone down in history. The Darmstadt ensemble is architecturally and artistically groundbreaking and marks a turning point in architecture and art on the threshold of the 20th century.
This is followed by a tour of the museum with an explanation of the works, ideals and ideas of members of the artists' colony as well as the history of the four major art exhibitions between 1901 and 1914.

The maximum group size is 25 people. A visit to the Großes Haus Glückert is part of this tour (subject to availability). An individual meeting point is possible by arrangement.

Admission to the museum is EUR 3 per person. This price is only valid for groups (10 or more people). For smaller groups (up to 9 people) the regular admission price of 5,-EUR per person applies. Children and young people (up to the age of 18) as well as school classes have free admission. Without prior booking, admission must be paid directly on site!
